It's a good watch.

Lance and Andy are granted permission to detect on Larry Fisher's land, but they have company in the form of Art and Paul, aka Simon and Garfunkel.

I enjoyed the casual pace and dry humour of the first episode, and this is more of the same, the difference being that the characters are now firmly establish, we know that Lance is desperately still in love with his ex Maggie, and Lance's relationship seems a little rocky.

I get the impression that this is going to be something of a bittersweet comedy at times, maybe they'll mix in laughs with a little bit of heartache. This episode had me chuckling away, but perhaps a little sad for Lance.

Loved Art and Paul, Simon Farnaby looked so tall, cracking comedy actor, well known for Ghosts, was very funny.

Enjoyed this, 8/10.

Lance and Andy are detecting on Farmer Bishops land, where they have to contend with rival detectorists Simon and Garfunkel.

Bishop had already mentioned the archaeological dig on his land, that had to be cut short because of World War II. He showed Andy and Lance some prize items that had been unearthed, but Lance claimed they were probably worthless.

Lance wanted to get the Band back together, and premier his new composition at the local pubs open Mike night.

Episode 2

The first episode introduced the main characters. An eccentric farmer Larry has given Larry and Andy permission to explore his farmland. Apart from the bits where Larry might have buried his wife!

The second episode introduces the antagonists. Obnoxious and rival detectorists mockingly called Simon and Garfunkel. They attempt to search the land but Lance is not having any of it.

Once again the episode does little things to establish the characters. Andy gets mistaken for a paedophile as he waits for Becky outside the school.

Lance hoping to get back together as a folk duo with Andy. Hoping that might help him get back together with ex wife Maggie.

What keeps it all going is the search for the big one. That someone once searching Larry's land found something of value, instead bits of American cars.
