  Father Gabriel Stokes : I - I only wish I'd come to you sooner. That I just - I hope it isn't too late.

  Carol Peletier : Rick. I know how this is gonna go with Pete. There's only one way it can go. You're gonna have to kill him.

• [Carol catches Sam standing outside her house at the back door] 

  Sam Anderson : Do you have any more cookies? The ones you made for the party?

  Carol Peletier : They're gone. Now go. Go home.

  Sam Anderson : My house doesn't even have power. I was going to paint my owl statue, but somebody broke it.

  Carol Peletier : None of these are problems, Sam. I don't care about your house. I don't care about your statue. Get out.

  Sam Anderson : Can you make more cookies?

  Carol Peletier : No.

  Sam Anderson : Why not?

  Carol Peletier : Because I don't want to.

  Sam Anderson : Maybe if you showed me how to make them, I can do it myself.

  Carol Peletier : You want cookies?

  [Sam nods his head up and down] 

  Carol Peletier : All right. You're gonna have to steal the chocolate from Olivia. And then you're gonna get an extra bar for me. And if you get caught or you say anything, you're not gonna like what happens to you. Now go.

  [Carol grabs and pushes Sam out the front door of her home]

  Carol Peletier : After these are done, that's it. I'm not helping you again and you're not coming back. You got it?

  Sam Anderson : Uh-huh.

  Carol Peletier : I hope you're not expecting to leave with more than half of these. You barely did half the work.

  Sam Anderson : Were you always a good cook?

  Carol Peletier : Sam, we're not talking. Wipe the counter.

  Sam Anderson : Did you like it? Cooking? You know, before.

  Carol Peletier : Sam.

  Sam Anderson : We don't have to be friends. Just doesn't have to be quiet.

  Carol Peletier : I was good at it. It distracted me. It made me forget when I was sad.

  Carol Peletier : Why? Why are you here?

  Sam Anderson : Why did you steal the guns?

  Carol Peletier : 'Cause sometimes you need to protect yourself.
