When the NBC series Community (2009) paid tribute to Doctor Who with a parody version called Inspector Spacetime, fans liked it so much that they helped crowdfund the creation of a web series based on it. But NBC and Sony weren't okay with them using the name, so the series was renamed "Untitled Web Series About a Space Traveler Who Can Also Travel Through Time." Lasting six episodes and starring original Inspector Spacetime portrayer Travis Richey, the web series was very popular and critically acclaimed. A second season was announced, and it was going to be even bigger. They produced this teaser video in 2013. But then a second season was dropped for plans to make a feature film with newly added cast members Mayim Bialik as the voice of B.O.O.T.H, the Inspector's telephone-booth time machine, Robert Picardo, and an actual Doctor Who Doctor, Sylvester McCoy. While previous crowdfunding efforts were done through Kickstarter, the movie campaign is set up at Indiegogo.
