When Spider-man battles the Enforcers in his "retro" uniform, the costumes, action sequences, the web-swinging style, and even the eye expressions are those of the 1967 Spider-man animated series.
When Peter decides to quit being Spider-man, he walks away from an alley with a garbage can in the foreground in which he has discarded his costume. This is a tribute to the same panel from Amazing Spider-Man #50 (July, 1967), page 8.
This issue, aptly titled "Spider-man No More", and it is considered one of the most iconic panels in Spider-man's history.

Power-man accidentally gets the gift intended for White Tiger - a gold headband. He puts it on anyway, and it is the same iconic headband than Power-man wore as "Luke Cage, Hero for Hire" in the 70's comic books.
This so has quite a few "Easter eggs" for Spidey fans of the comics. From the costume in the trash, "Spider-Man no more" storyline(and quote from the ep) to Luke Cage getting a gold headband(like he once wore in the comics) for Christmas. Worth watching.
Nightmare was voiced by Mark Hamill, who had previously voiced the Hobgoblin in the 1990's cartoon "Marvel Comics Spider-Man: The Animated Series (1994-1997)".
