In the closing scene, Daisy Ridley makes a small appearance as a stage hand. Matt Berry later attempted to get her back on the show, but he was unable to contact her. It was the time when Ridley was cast in Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015).
The cold opening for this episode is an edited version of the v/o recording session from the pilot episode, The Unspeakable Play (2012). It is likely that because archive footage was used, Tim Downie and Shazad Latif aren't credited for playing Danny Bear and Clem Fandango respectively.
In the second photograph Steve Toast flips over in his role as a police detective is Arthur Mathews, one of the writers of the show.
The disused chapel featured as the shooting location for "Prince Philip: Scoundrel Dog" is the Licensed Victuallers' Asylum Chapel in London constructed in 1827 which was severely damaged by a bomb blast during the Blitz and became a derelict building. As of 2022, it is known as the Caroline Gardens Chapel.
