- Astronaut Molly Woods tries to reconnect with her husband, John, and son, Ethan, after returning from a 13-month solo mission in outer space. Molly's mystifying experiences in space lead to events that will ultimately change the course of human history.—Jiilo_Kim
- Astronaut Molly Woods returns to Earth after a 13 month solo mission aboard a space station. She's re-adjusting to life with husband John and their child Ethan, a robot they call their own as Molly is unable to conceive. Overall the mission seems to have gone well the only hitch being a 13 hour gap in the video log which, Molly says, is the result of her deleting those tapes during an emergency with the station's computer system. She is shocked however to learn from her friend, Dr. Sam Barton, that she is pregnant. Meanwhile, John is trying to get funding for his project from Yasumoto corporation, Molly's employer.—garykmcd
- Molly Woods (Halle Berry) has recently returned from a 13-month mission in space. She is trying to readjust to life on earth with her husband John (Goran Visnjic) and her son Ethan (Pierce Gagnon).
Molly is throwing up in the toilet as her son listens from outside.
Later, she and her family attend a party where a friend offers her a drink but her doctor forbids it and says they should wait for tests results to come back. Molly and John stop a fight between their son and another boy.
Later that night as Molly is taking out the trash, she sees someone in the shadows but when she turns away for a second, the figure is gone.
John is talking to Ethan about the fight with the boy earlier. After they're done talking, Ethan says he thinks he needs a 'flip'. John opens a small compartment in Ethan's back and replaces what seems to be some sort of battery.
Molly visits Ethan before going to view old photographs of Marcus (Sergio Harford), her ex-boyfriend. John walks in and they talk about it agreeing that if he had not died they would have never met and Ethan wouldn't exist.
The next morning, Molly visits Sam (Camryn Manheim), her friend and International Space Exploration Agency (ISEA) doctor, and hears the odd news that she is pregnant. Sam repeatedly asks her if there was anyone on the mission with her but Molly reassures her that she was alone. Not only was she alone for the past 13 months, but she is also infertile.
Molly has a flashback of her time up in space. She is working on some kind of plant experiment when her son and husband appear on the screen. The video call is soon dropped due to solar flares, according to her AI, Ben. He attempts to restart the call but suddenly all power goes off, including Ben. She freaks out and goes to another room to fix it. While there, she sees her deceased ex-boyfriend Marcus through a porthole. He approaches the glass and writes 'Help me'.
Back at the doctor's office, Molly asks Sam to give her some time to figure things out before she tells John. Molly is afraid she will be taken for observation. Sam agrees to give her some time.
John is a robotics engineer and is giving a presentation on his latest project: The Humanichs Project, his son being the prototype. The Yasumoto Corp. board is skeptical and gets into an argument with him when John says he has no emergency termination plan in case the Humanichs misbehave. The board denies him funding.
Molly is questioned by her superiors on the 13-hour gap that resulted from the power outage on the ship. She explains that for most of the time she attempted to reboot the system, took a nap, and when she woke up the system was up and running. She also explains that she accidentally deleted the camera footage from that time. She leaves out the part about her seeing her dead ex.
Director Sparks (Michael O'Neill) leaves the meeting with Molly to go to another meeting where he is overseeing what seems to be the unfreezing of some sort of their boss, Mr. Yasumoto (Hiroyuki Sanada). They talk about the incident aboard the ship Molly was on. Sparks does not believe Molly's story about accidentally erasing the video footage because she doesn't make those type of mistakes. It is revealed that a similar incident involving a solar flare occurred with another astronaut, Harmon Kryger (Brad Beyer), who is said to have committed suicide. Yasumoto tells Sparks to keep an eye on her. Sparks tells him of John's interest in getting funding from him.
Yasumoto meets with John and decides to fund him regardless of what his board decided.
At the park, Molly receives a note attached to a balloon saying someone knows what happened to her. She tries to rush out of there, causing Ethan to drop his ice-cream. They get into an argument and Ethan runs off into the woods. Molly chases him and finds him standing over a dead pigeon. Ethan claims he found it like that and compliments her hair.
Molly talks to John about what happened at the park, saying that Ethan is different than from when she left and that he is not capable of loving her. It turns into an argument. John tells her he got funding from Yasumoto.
Back to the flashback of her in space: She opens the door to Marcus. He steps into the room. Marcus is standing firmly on the ground while she is floating since there is no gravity. He stares at her and touches her face only able to repeat words she says. They kiss and the screen fades to black.
The next morning, John and Molly reconcile and she congratulates him on getting funding from Yasumoto.
Molly goes to see a psychologist, as mandated by Director Sparks. The psychologist tells Molly she wants the office to be a safe place for her. They begin talking. Director Sparks and Yasumoto watch through a camera.
Molly has another flashback. This time she wakes up on the floor after the encounter with Marcus. There is no one there with her. She immediately goes to check the cameras. The cameras show her and all her movements, but no Marcus. She freaks out and deletes all the video footage.
At night, she goes out by the garbage disposal. A man approaches her. It's Harmon, the astronaut they claim had committed suicide. He says he's real and not a hallucination. John is heard calling out to her. Harmon begins to leave, he says he'll find her and warns her not to trust anyone.
