My overall rating of "Gomorra: La serie"'s Season 1: 6/10
This episode is so dumb it probably was written by the writers' kindergarten kids (although given the overwhelming violence in the minutiae of the overall plot perhaps it was simply drawn up from an RNG algorithm). While the idea of a generational conflict between savvy business-like mafiosi and young "bespredel'shchiki" (to borrrow a term from the Russian criminal world) who even the new, young boss cannot properly control, is interesting, the episode only manages to present a conflict between two groups of absolute cretins. I won't even speak as to the stupidity of the plot devices, or the stupidity of Imma's plan (honestly went better than it could have, taking the finale into consideration), or of the absolute ridiculousnesss of Ciro now having a _second_ stalwart companion show up - where were they before?! Why does he have his own personal retinue now, when he's been marginalised, if nothing else?! I thought that the girly-looking original adjutant was that Spiderman fella for most of the episode, for what it's worth, but no, apparently they're just there, completely outside the old clan/new clan structure. Perhaps they're just figment's of Ciro's insane mind?..
(I've watched this series in original languages with English subtitles)
