Major Head Scratcher

Not at all a review of this episode but more my observations after the latest episode.

Something is off in this cartoon. The comedic timing is off, for most of the part. Yes, the show has made me laugh and I continue to watch after 17 mostly underwhelming episodes. The laughs are sparse though.

Some of the scripts have been suspect IMHO. I certainly don't mind silly fun but again this is not very much fun so far.

I'm not sure Richard Ayoade was the best choice for Tyrannis. In fact, I think there are few places where casting was suspect.

Quite frankly I don't believe the show knows what is wants to be and tends to meander all over the place at times.

I'll hang in there a little bit longer and hope for the quality to improve.

The opening scene showed some promise here. Finally there was another character outside of the main family who behaved very oddly sexually, and addressing it in front of the council and having the Gods pass judgment on him, that wad funny. That works in the world of cartoons.

But after that it all just goes downhill. It seems like they have no idea what they are doing and what they are going for and don't even have a real punchline to close out the scenes. It just jumps from scene to scene with no end goal. What was the point of the final credits scene with the game in that weird cave anyway?
