TV Garbage and False Advertising
"Amerikas Westküste" (German, meaning "America's West Coast"), a 5-part documentary for German/French TV, is suggesting to tell us actually something about the US West Coast, i.e. give information useful for sightseeing, planning your holidays/tours, know more about the history of locations and beautiful landscapes? No, none of that.
In a superficial way, accompanied by annoying emotional music, it uses the West Coast States as a prompt to tell us about people and companies we don't want to know about (e.g. Starbucks or, in Oregon, a shoe manufacturer - VEEERY INTERESTING) and trendy activities (e.g. sandboarding).
After the second part, I refrained from watching the rest. The title of the documentary is a blatant example of brazen false advertising. It should accurately be called "We'll steal your time by telling you about people and companies you don't care about who happen to live somewhere on the US West Coast".
