This show depends heavily on who the celebrity is and where they are. Each episode has a celebrity exploring an interesting world city and its food. I've seen 5 episodes so far.
Eve in Jamaica - great vibe, lots of fun shaking going on
Aisha Tyler in Paris - good looking food
Aziz Ansari in Hong Kong - he's a funny likable guy
Joel McHale in Belfast - hilarious guy who is craic and he brings his wife
José Andrés in Puerto Rico - missing the joy of discovery, chef talking to other chefs about food
I can see some great fun depending on who the celebrity is. You really need a talented comedian. Sometime the place can be interesting all by itself like Jamaica. But it really helps to have a jester telling jokes. So far, I like Aziz, Joel and Jamaica.
The second season has a hilarious episode with Adam Pally and his friends in Vegas. They go off in a fun Hangover style weekend. Nat Faxon & Jim Rash are a funny duo in Tokyo. The writing partners obviously have great chemistry. Jim Rash is simply hilarious.
