Don't believe the negative other review(s) here. This was honestly one of the best episodes in the whole NCIS TV universe. Which is saying something big considering how many great episodes there were of my favourite NCIS - Los Angeles.
This quickly has become one of my favourite of the franchises, didn't think It would. But the characters - which is also the best thing about most NCIS's is so true with this one. The American and Australian blend so nicely showing the best of how both countries work without getting into too much cliche.
This episode is your classic hostage situation which is a mainstay of every drama series of made. So it's hard to be thrilled when someone else pulls this out. But seriously it's one of the best hostage episodes ever with a very original setting and reasons and plotting. It doesn't go over the top and doesn't become unrealistic like so many.
And having William McInnes take centre stage in this episode is one of the reasons it works so well. A fantastic actor and a great new character for him.!
