The romantic leads lock horns, but not in a hate to love way...more of an annoy and misunderstand way.

There was a lot to like with all of the Christmas traditions, although it was a little to repetitive hearing family tradition over and over, and who does snow cones for Christmas?

The storyline seemed choppy and there were some awkward scenes between the alternate male lead and just "reminiscing" about the past.

The quilt was gorgeous and I am glad that tradition was shown in addition to the idea of doing it by hand instead of machine or farming the work out.

The concept was really nice and the long standing family tradition was admirable. I am really glad it ended the way it did and I loved some of the lead's festive outfits like her over-the-knee boots!

No substance

Warning: Spoilers
While I appreciate Hallmark's increasing initiative to feature more diverse leads, this didn't land for me at all. As a Black person, I feel as though they just slapped together an all-Black cast and called it a day, but they forgot to add substance to the story.

I honestly didn't understand why Fletcher was a bad choice for Mona...she had more chemistry with him than with Dez. And even then, there was absolutely no development between her and Dez in the romance department. It felt like nothing really happened, and then bam, by the end we're supposed to believe that they'd fallen in love? Even by Hallmark standards, it was rough.

It overall fell super flat and unfortunately nothing else that happened compelled me to enjoy this film otherwise. Disappointed!

Loved it! I'm a Hallmark fan especially for the Christmas season. Mishal is so authentic in her art. I'm a fan of hers from Y&R, where she rocked every scene in Daytime drama. Absolutely loved to see her here to enhance the black family perspective of family traditions and root. More of this, Mishal and the leading and supporting cast were welled paired in their roles. I really related to the sisters and their relationship. Authentic and an organic in their conversations; loved their expressions of support. Extra handsome leading characters for of the men too. Thank you Hallmark for this culture and relatable movie. Again, more of this, please and thank you!

The aesthetics is really well thought of, the story line is unravelled in a unique way that keeps you interested to the very end... actually you finish the movie with a smile on your faces.

The movie reels you in further as you watch it so you end up feeling the emotions they are portraying...and that's actually well thought of.. it's a slow burn I should say but that fire they start in you keeps you so invested till the movie is done...it passes as a romantic movie and it could even be a family movie with young adults or late teens, since they will appreciate the emotions better than youngsters.
