Watchable thriller...

When I stumbled upon the 2023 TV thriller "Deadly DILF", I have to admit that I was somewhat surprised with the movie's title. And after initially getting over the laughing fit, then I actually opted to sit down and watch it. Sure, I was harboring zero expectations to the movie, I mean, it had the word "DILF" in the title after all.

Writers Eliza Hayes Maher and Scotty Mullen actually put together a fair enough script and storyline. The movie turned out to be better than I would have assumed from the title alone. Sure, it was somewhat generic and very predictable, but there was just something to the storyline and script that actually worked out in favor of the overall enjoyment of the movie. There was, however, something missing from the plot and storyline to make "Deadly DILF" a more memorable and outstanding thriller.

Of the entire cast ensemble in the movie, then I was actually only familiar with Sofia Bryant. I will say that the actors and actresses on the cast list actually performed well and certainly helped to bring the movie to life on the screen.

While "Deadly DILF" is not a top notch thriller, I would actually say that it is a movie that is worth sitting down to watch, if enjoy these types of homewrecking thrillers, and can get past the somewhat laughable title. It is not a movie that warrants more than just a single viewing, however.

My rating of director Dylan Vox's 2023 thriller "Deadly DILF" lands on a five out of ten stars.

Don't know why but ended up liking this

WHAT HARMLESS FLIRTATION?!!! Who wrote the stupid synopsis! The story is so stupid and silly it is beyond belief. Who wrote it? A couple of horny adolescents while doing their school assignments?

I mean everything just seemed to go into paving the way for the unthinkable. A divorced 35 year old grumpy and whiney guy who's married a beautiful businesswoman and has joint custody of his son with his ex-wife who incidentally is another beautiful woman!

Everything falls into place so easily. It kicks off with the football going across the fence conveniently for the unhinged college chick to retrieve it and when she takes it back, he couldn't take his eyes off her. Then conveniently they bump into each other in college campus because guess what, he's a 35 year old loser going back to school, because he feels his wife is looking down at him?

Then conveniently his wife has to go on a business trip, and his ex pick up their son for the weekend, then conveniently his brother calls that evening and says he can't make it watch the game. And Elysum (girl next door) has moment when she thinks someone's chasing her while she's jogging like the incident that happened when her dad died, so she knocks on his door and he invites her in. One thing leads to another and hey they hit the hay! The next morning he tells Elysum that the night before was a mistake and just hits her to the curb.

Frankly I cannot blame Elysum for all the things she did, because he led her on and then just poured a bucket ice water on her. Rio deserved it.

The ending was very confusing. How come Elysum did not get punished for anything she had done. Manslaughter and all the other things. And why did Rio end up in jail?

Horrible movie

This movie was horrible and stupid and irritating. The ending made no sense for the husband to be in jail. It was senseless to kill the wife. The mother's part either should have been developed more or the mother's part was not needed at all. That was 1 hour and 37 minutes of my life that I can't get back.

The only good thing about the movie is that all the actors were good at their craft. The storyline sucked. The movie, at best, was a first year film writer quality movie.

I would like to see all the actors in a better written movie were they can truly showcase their talents because this movie ain't it.

This film gives straight women a voice

I was very, very surprised to learn that this film was directed by a man. Ladies, this movie has moments in it that encapsulate the EPITOME of the "female gaze". The soulmate fantasy the lead has, while greatly exaggerated for the purposes of making the film interesting, is very relatable. Every girl gets a little delulu sometimes. Well acted, engaging throughout, this movie is an entertainer whose thrill escalates to an edge-of-your-seat climax. Unlike all these other streaming services *coughs* Netflix...Tubi actually used their resources to find an awesome, talented team of writers, actors, camera people, etc... And make a 10/10 movie.
