The Great British Bake Off has proved a surprised hit Stateside, and now Mary Berry could be about to judge a Us version of the show.
According to The Sun, ABC is planning to film a new version of the series, flying American contestants out to the UK to join Berry in the Bake Off tent.
Here's what The Great British Bake Off looks like in Brazil, Ukraine, Italy, USA and beyond
The report claims that fellow judge Paul Hollywood would not be involved in the proposed programme.
Hollywood previously attempted to take the format to the Us with The American Baking Competition, which was cancelled after one season in 2013 following disappointing ratings.
He has previously suggested that an international version of Bake Off, pitting UK contestants against their Us rivals, "would be fun".
The Great British Bake Off continues on BBC One at 8pm on Wednesday (September 16).

The Great British Bake Off is as synonymous with the UK as a nice cup of tea and Big Ben, but can the format be translated around the world?
The answer is... yes! Bake Off has been broadcast in 196 territories and its format has been sold to 20 nations, with varying degrees of success. So what do Mel and Sue, Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry look like in the USA, Ukraine and elsewhere?
1. Bake Off Brazil - Hands-on
Very similar to the UK version, but if you're expecting a dose of samba music you'll be disappointed, as the exact same UK soundtrack appears to have returned. Ticiana Villas Boas hosts the oddly named show, flanked by entrepreneur Fabrizio Fasano Jr (a brilliant Hollywood replacement) and baker Carolina Fiorentino (a much younger Mary Berry, don't tell her we said that).
2. The Great Australian Bake Off

There's a lot of reality TV ahead in 2015: more than 70 new and returning reality shows debut in January alone. Here's a guide to some of the highlights and lowlights, and trends that I've spotted among all the reality TV networks are flinging our way. Twists and changes come to the big shows "The Amazing Race" (CBS, Feb. 25) will, for the first time, bail on the one thing that made it different: casting people with preexisting relationships. While all 11 teams are dating couples, including a former New Kid on the Block and his boyfriend, five of the 11 teams will meet for the first time at the race's starting line. It seems like a desperate attempt to create even more drama, but it may also be interesting to see how well strangers function as a team during a race around the world. "Survivor Worlds Apart" (CBS, Feb. 25) isn't celebrating its 30th season with an all-star season,...

Sky is to take a majority stake in Love Productions, the producer behind The Great British Bake Off.
The broadcasting corporation is thought to have shown interest for many months and has supposedly submitted a "knockout bid" to secure a significant stake in the company, reports Broadcast Now.
Love is reportedly keen to use the deal as an opportunity to develop brands such as The Great British Bake Off and The Great British Sewing Bee in the Us.
Although BBC Worldwide previously sold the Great British Bake Off format to 13 countries including France, Australia and Germany, Love aired Us spinoff The American Baking Competition on CBS, featuring Paul Hollywood on the judging panel. It was axed after one season.
The deal will be Sky's first major investment in the UK independent sector.

Losing at penalty shoot-outs. Bad teeth. Queuing. Making terrible sitcoms. There is a long list of things that British people do better than anybody else in the world. And The Great British Bake Off, a show so quaint and stereotypically British you half expect the Queen to swan past walking her corgis at any moment, automatically felt like it was another notch on the Team Gb scoresheet.
However, it turns out that some of our foreign chums are just as keen on pies, tarts, pastries, cakes and puddings. Bake Off is sweeping around the globe, delivering sweet treats one country at a time. Here are just five examples of Bake Off around the world.
1. The Great Australian Bake Off
Two great early signs for the Aussie bake-off. Rotund host Shane Jacobson looks like he knows his way around a sponge. And sour-faced judge Kerry Vincent looks deliciously vicious. She'd eat Mary Berry for breakfast.

We started with 10 bakers on "The American Baking Competition" and now it's down to Francine Bryson, Brian Emmett and Darlene Pawlukowsky -- who is going to win it all?
The signature bake this week is anything they want, as long as they incorporate Georgia's state crop, the peanut. It has to be more or less the star of the dish. Darlene makes a peanut cake roll, Brian makes a peanut vanilla chiffon roll and Francine makes a spiced peanut peanut butter torte.
The two cake rolls go over well, while Francine's crazy peanut torte is not loved by the judges. They're actually kind of hard on her.
The technical bake for the finale is a dozen Boston cream donuts, which is judge's Paul Hollywood's recipe. Francine redeems herself by making good donuts, though Darlene gets the best donuts.
The showstopper bake is to make 72 miniature desserts (24 of three different kinds,...

There really wasn’t a lot new on TV on the eve of the July 4th holiday but the ratings for what was on weren’t pretty. Cratering 25% from the 2.2/7 of its Season 15 debut last week, Big Brother (1.6/6) hit a new series low on Wednesday. Vexed off air by recent controversy from online homophobic and racist comments by this season’s contestants, Bb’s results last night saw a two tenths drop from the previous tied low of 1.8/5 that veteran reality show had achieved just the day before on July 2. The 8 Pm live elimination Bb was the highest rated and most watched show of the night with 5.35 million viewers. An America’s Got Talent (1.1/4) repeat on NBC from 8 Pm to 10 Pm was the second most watched show on Wednesday. The third most watched show of the night was The American Baking Competition (1.2/4) at 9 Pm. The Jeff Foxworthy-hosted show drew 4.67 million viewers.

Back with a bigger cast, colorful challenges, new voting twists, that $500,00 grand prize and for a longer season, Big Brother (2.1/7) returned last night for its 15th cycle. The CBS reality show took a hit right out of the gate. Watched by 6.1 million viewers, the veteran Julie Chen-hosted series was down 19% adults 18-49 from its July 12, 2012 season debut. That ties the series’ lowest season premiere ever (the July 13, 2008 season bow also pulled a 2.1/7). The Season 14 premiere had dipped 7% from the previous cycle’s bow but pulled in a four-year premiere viewership high with 7.09 million viewers. The viewership for last night’s debut was the lowest since 2008. Meanwhile, Still undeflated despite its low May 29 start, The American Baking Competition (1.2/4) was even with its June 19 show, which was even with the week before. Now in a 9 Pm slot, the Jeff Foxworthy-hosted freshman reality series did see its viewership slip from last...

Zap2it: As host of "The American Baking Competition," are you getting to sample a wide variety of food?
Jeff Foxworthy: Yeah. Within every show, [the contestants] all start off with a signature dish, so it's their favorite home recipe for whatever it is ... cakes, pies, cookies, breads.
The middle part is what's called "the technical bake," where the judges give everybody the same ingredients but real limited instructions. You have to make a pie, but you have to kind of trust your intuition on it. Then the third thing is more the appearance thing, what they call "the showstopper." It has to be pretty and taste good.
Zap2it: How have your interactions with the contestants been?
Jeff Foxworthy: When we taped Cookie Week, they had to make macaroons; that was their showstopper, and this big, strapping fireman made bright pink ones. It was a little incongruous, so I said,...

The premiere episode CBS' new cooking show, "The American Baking Competition," required the competitors to make pies.
Self-proclaimed redneck Francine knew that the three ingredients most Americans can't live without are bacon, chocolate and peanut butter, which is exactly why she combined the three for her challenge.
Francine grilled British judge Paul Hollywood on whether he'd ever eaten chocolate-covered bacon before, in an encounter that he described as "disturbing." But the end result wasn't disturbing in the least ... after tasting the pie, Paul had to admit, "I absolutely adore it, and that really upsets me a lot.”
The Southern chef's risky choice paid off, and she was named the week's Star Baker.
As for whether the show will be as successful as Francine's pie, only time will tell. TVLatest says it’s “overstuffed” -- there were three challenges in the episode, and that may be too much.
"The American Baking Competition" airs Wednesdays at 8 p.

CBS premiered The American Baking Competition last night, and I’m going to try really hard to not go the easy route and describe the latest entry into the reality-competition genre as half-baked. Oh, wait, I kind of just did. (I guess that’s just the way the cookie crumbles.) (Okay, really, I’ll stop now.)
The show is built around the premise of gathering 10 great amateur bakers and tasking them with tackling three recipes per week: A “signature” dish they make at home for friends and family; a “technical” bake in which they receive ingredients and vague instructions — then...

The American Baking Competition got underway last night on CBS, with constant reminders that this is the most patriotic show on television.
There was flag bunting. Jeff Foxworthy as host. The actual name of the competition.
Yes, it's based on a British series, but CBS did not want any viewer to forget that this is America's version, dammit. F-ck, yeah!
As for the actual contestants? Francine was clearly the star, as the Southern cook knew her way around various types of pies.

CBS debuted a new cooking competition show called "The American Baking Competition" Wednesday night (May 29). The program features 10 bakers competing in three different bake-offs each week, which proved quite interesting in the first episode, titled "Pies and Tarts."
The first bake is the Signature Bake, which each week will feature a recipe each baker is very comfortable with. For the pie premiere, we saw everything from apple and sweet potato pies to maple bourbon chocolate pecan pie and chocolate peanut butter bacon pie, the last of which the judges liked in spite of themselves.
The second bake each week is the Technical Bake, which gives all 10 bakers the same recipe, but with key instructions missing. This week they made judge Paul Hollywood's meat pie, which was challenging because of the hot-water crust that a lot of bakers got too soggy or too thick.
The final bake is the Showstopper Bake,...

He doesn't cook, but Jeff Foxworthy thinks that makes him an ideal host for "The American Baking Competition."
CBS' version of a popular British show premieres Wednesday, May 29, pitting 10 food-making amateurs against one another in a contest featuring chefs Paul Hollywood (also of the U.K. version) and Marcela Valladolid as judges. Country-flavored comedian-author Foxworthy's role on the show may be the perfect one: He doesn't have to form an opinion on any of the contenders, and he gets to sample all their food as they vie for $250,000 and a publishing contract.

ABC Family has made a big commitment to Melissa & Joey. The third season debuts tonight and Deadline reports that the channel has just ordered a fourth season. Additionally, it expanded the third season by twenty episodes. That will make it the first ABC Family comedy to pass 100 episodes. I wonder if that means we’ll soon be seeing repeats air on local stations.
The fourth season of Arrested Development has turned out to be Netflix’s biggest hit, drawing three times as much traffic as House of Cards and 10 percent of viewers watching all fifteen episodes. I’ll be honest, I didn’t make it past two episodes of the fourth season format.

Paul Hollywood will launch the American version of the UK TV phenomenon The Great British Bake Off later this month and the first videos of the CBS show have been released online.
UK judge Hollywood is described as the "George Clooney of baking" and "a god" by one contestant, and the British star acts as a consistent link between the UK and Us shows.

British judge Mary Berry hasn't joined Hollywood on the Us version and is replaced by Food Network star Marcela Valladolid.

The Great British Bake Off star Paul Hollywood has claimed that competitors on the show's Us version do not match up to their UK counterparts.
Speaking at the BAFTA Television Awards (May 12), Hollywood told journalists that "the standard was lower" on CBS series The American Baking Competition.
"The standard was lower in America, but that's because it's their first season," he explained. "It equated to the first series of the British one, but it will get better.
"I was surprised at some of the flavours they put in. One did a chocolate and bacon quiche and actually I liked it, and that really wound me up!"
Hollywood added that he would be keen to host an International Bake Off series pitting UK contestants against their Us rivals.
"We could do an international one - that'd be fun," he suggested.
