A look into the work of Amazon

"Ausgeliefert! Leiharbeiter bei Amazon" is a German half-hour documentary that actually received some awards recognition which is not too common for a combination of this genre and runtime. It is a television production from 2013 by Diana Löbl and Peter Onneken, who also appeared in a couple talk shows after making this one here. The title already says what this is about, namely leased laborers working for Amazon and actually IMDb also belongs to Amazon, but that's just a side information. The stuff you see in here is as shocking and inhuman as you might expect and the conditions never should have been like that. However, it also needs to be noted that this is a film depicting one very specific group of employees and one very specific security company. I would not say, judging from this half hour, that Amazon is generally not a respectable employee. Maybe it was just wrong place, wrong time for the people we see in here. I still feel sorry for them. However, i also must say that the filmmakers tried to turn this into a sob story occasionally and I did not like that, for example with the Christmas work references. All in all, I would still describe this film as a good effort and successful documentary and it is also nice to see Amazon showing consequences afterward in terms of their cooperation with the security company for example. I recommend the watch.
