“Vanderpump Rules” producer Alex Baskin has tapped Joe Kingsley and Jeff Festa to join the creative executive team of his new company, 32 Flavors. He recruited both Kingsley and Festa from Evolution Media, his former company, where they all previously worked on unscripted projects together.
At 32 Flavors, Kingsley has been appointed executive vice president of production and operations while Festa has been named senior vice president of development and programming. Both Kingsley and Festa will report to Baskin, who serves as CEO for the production company he founded last summer.
Kingsley spent more than ten years working under Baskin at Evolution Media. A+E Networks is getting into business with Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine.
The two companies have struck a deal under which Hello Sunshine will develop lifestyle shows for A+E’s Home Made Nation content hub — which includes programming blocks on A&e and Fyi and on the company’s Fast channels. A+E announced the deal Wednesday as part of its upfront pitch to advertisers.
The first series from the agreement is called Country House Hunters, which will follow couples who — you guessed it — are looking to buy homes in the country. It’s set to premiere in the summer and will join a roster of shows on Home Made Nation that also includes Zombie House Flipping and Lakefront Luxury.

At every instance where something dramatic occurs in Fairhope, I’m reminded of how easy it is for television to make things up. Hulu describes Love in Fairhope as “uniquely unscripted” (whatever that means) and uses the words “reimagined romance” to tell us what the five ladies of Fairhope, Alabama, will be experiencing in this nine-part series. Spoiler alert: The show ends on a huge cliffhanger, and I’m not quite sure where the romance went. There’s something so unsettling about the terrible (sometimes terrifying) acting and unrealistic dialogue between these people that it cannot in any way come across as “real.” Personally, the only reality TV shows I’ve ever watched are fashion or food competitions. Give me 100 Next in Fashion or Masterchef Australia before putting me through this again, I beg. Love in Fairhope almost looks like a 2000s Western fantasy romance, where a CGI unicorn may appear out of the blue,...

The southern charm of Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine meets the glossy drama of Vanderpump Rules in Hulu dating show Love in Fairhope. The series follows five women of different ages and backgrounds as they experience romance in the small town of Fairhope, Alabama, but while their desire to find love may be real, their stories are grounded in artifice. Hulu admits as much in the official description, calling Love in Fairhope a "uniquely unscripted fantasy" that sees "real people star in a story inspired by their own where fantasy and reality collide." Obvious questions emerge. Who crafted this fantasy? Can a made-up story even be unscripted? What do these words mean when jammed together in this context?...
