Back in London, celebrations are underway, but the arrival of peace also means wartime relationships will have to be reassessed. Will Fleming and Ann finally find a way to be together? With the war in its final throes, Fleming's days in Naval Intelligence are numbered - what other ways will he find to channel his ingenuity and imagination?—BBC America
- Fleming is concerned that 30 AU hasn't yet managed to get any intelligence on German plans for an atomic bomb. His new boss, Rear Admiral Rushbrooke feels that if the Nazis had a nuclear program they would have heard of it by now and in any event, Hitler is all but defeated and the Allies will soon be in Berlin. He continues to push and threatens to resign. He gets orders to go to the continent. Fleming's mother wants to know what Ian plans on doing after the war. She says she's concerned about their good name and suggests he not see Ann O'Neill. With the war finally at an end, Fleming decides to become an author.—garykmcd
