A Step Down
Hitchcoc23 October 2021
Sheldon dominates again as he realizes that on a joint project, Kripke is way ahead of him. This leads to Kripke's conclusion that Sheldon is getting too much sex. His comments are really outrageous and juvenile. Meanwhile, Howard and Raj shell out 5000 dollars to by a 3D printer.

Warning: Spoilers
Sheldon is busy for on some physics work that he is fine with his food going cold. Raj found an app where human action figures can be made. Leonard wants to but Penny does not allow him. Sheldon solves his work and in walks Barry Kripke who must no work close with Sheldon because they are doing the same study. Raj and Howard get their action figures and are underwhelmed especially when they paid so much for them. Sheldon seems upset but when people try to talk to him he says nothing. Sheldon and Kripke swap their work even they do not seem as if they want to. Raj and Howard then get a 3D printer to make smaller versions of themselves. Sheldon reads the work of Kripke and with Amy around he seems quite upset that his work is not up to the standard of Kripke's. Sheldon does not want to go into work the next day but Leonard makes him go in. Kripke does not seem to gloat saying Sheldon has become distracted by now having a girlfriend in Amy. Sheldon then lies speaking about all the loving' he is having with Amy. Others must then lie for him. Howard gives Bernadette the gifts telling her of how much he paid for this printer and she is not happy about the amount of money he spent. Sheldon speaks to Penny and Leonard saying that someday he might sleep with Amy which seems like such a big step for the character in every term he has been written in the past. Howard gets his half of the printer giving it to Raj. As Kripke and Sheldon work together strange and inappropriate questions are asked of Sheldon as he keeps lying. This was an improvement for the show especially hearing of the development Sheldon has had. Everything else of the episode was OK and lately I have noticed that the show has been underusing Mayim and Melissa which is a bad choice because these women are always the best thing about the show.

EPISODE GRADE: B- (MVP: Jim Parsons)

"The Cooper/Kripke Inversion" was another hilarious ep of "The Big Bang Theory"

In this most recent ep of "The Big Bang Theory": Sheldon and Kripke are forced to work together when they're doing the same theory assignment. And Howard and Raj are entertaining thoughts of their own action figures. I'll stop there and just say this was another hilarious ep of this funny and still popular show. The way each character interacts and their various reactions still seems fresh even after 6 years running. Only Raj seems the same after all this time though there's been some developments in him too like him talking a bit normally around Penny even though he's still drinking around her to be able to do even that. So on that note, "The Cooper/Kripke Inversion" was another great ep of "The Big Bang Theory".

The Cooper/Kripke Inversion

For me the reason I don't hold 'The Big Bang Theory' in as high esteem as shows such as 'Friends' or 'Cheers' is because it is too inconsistent a show.

This isn't a great episode, not really. It has its moments, but Sheldon acts like first a brat and then goes about not really treating Amy with much respect behind her back. But we as an audience are supposed to be on his side. It's very mixed messaging.

There is one scene where he speaks more genuinely about her, and that's the best bit of the whole episode, but other than that, this is fairly run of the mill, warm but not overly funny stuff.
