Sara is celebrating her birthday alone in a fancy restaurant and, out of the blue, a handsome man comes to her table and guesses it is her birthday. They drink wine together and when they return to the hotel, she goes to his room on the eighteenth floor. On the next morning, she stumbles upon Greg while leaving the elevator and he tells her that he is going to the eighteenth floor to process a crime scene. Sara goes with him and sees that the man is the one where she had gone to the room. She calls Russell and tells him what happened last night, and he asks her to tell immediately to a detective. The victim is Taylor Wynard and David Phillips counts seven stab wounds on his body, but the knife is missing. However, all the evidence points to Sara. She tells to Det. Lawrence what happened last night and there is contradictory information. When she goes home, she finds the knife in her dishwasher, and the CSIs find photos of Sara kissing Taylor, and believe she is cheating on Grissom. She is forced to say that Grissom and she have separated. When Sara accidentally sees a necklace as evidence found at the crime scene, she realizes that she was framed by Ronald Basderic since she was not wearing that necklace that Edie Graham gave to her. But how to prove?
"Forget Me Not" is one of the best of the last episodes of "CSI". The plot is well-written and Sara's situation seems to be hopeless in a moment. But the necklace found at the crime scene helps her to understand that the manipulative psychopath Ronald Basderic is the responsible for the murder. The way she forces to make the killer confesses his crime is predictable. My vote is eight.
