While The Kardashians star, Kim Kardashian, is always busy, she has added a new area of focus to her full plate. Although she was struggling to keep up with the hectic schedule in Season 4, that hasn’t stopped her from diving deeper into the field of acting. However, some people believe her reason for digging her heels in is because she has an ulterior motive behind it.
Kim Kardashian Is Getting Backlash
After appearing in Variety‘s Actors on Actors interview, Kim Kardashian is getting slammed for her overreach in the entertainment industry. Many people say Kim doesn’t deserve to “be in the same room” with other actors with more experience. Kim Kardashian and Chloe Sevigny made the cover story on June 5. Trying to be relatable in the interview, Kim mentioned discovering her mom, Kris Jenner, had never seen Troop Beverly Hills.

Without much expectation – because Revenge, director Coralie Fargeat's debut film, wasn’t as thrilling to me as to most genre cinema specialists – I went to a night screening of The Substance at the Cannes International Film Festival. The decision was a very pleasant surprise, like a shot of adrenaline that lasted almost two and a half hours, given that the movie is stylish – constant closeups, energetic editing, loud sound – and quite intense from beginning to end, funny, grotesque, and over-the-top. The Substance attracted me right away because it belongs to the traditional cinema about Hollywood and its dark and cold side: we see the static camera pointing at the star on the Walk of Fame of...

Chris Hemsworth received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and his longtime Avengers co-star Robert Downey Jr. marked the occasion with a public roast of everyone’s favorite “Thor” actor. Downey asked their Marvel buddies Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans to describe Hemsworth in three words. Their answers had the audience in laughter.
“What is Chris Hemsworth?” Downey asked. “Renner says, ‘Absurdly, annoyingly amazing.’ Ruffalo came in strong with ‘friend from work.’ Scarlett got to the heart of it with ‘sensitive leading lady.’ Captain America calls him the ‘second best Chris.’ And I’ll bring it to the here and now: There is no one who deserves it more. He is ‘Hollywood star recipient.'”

When the teaser trailer for "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" debuted last March, our reintroduction to Delia Deetz (Catherine O'Hara) and Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder) was a somber one. The mother and daughter were standing graveside in a cemetery, mourning an undisclosed character. Fans of the original quickly guessed that the person being committed to the Earth was the family's patriarch, Charles Deetz (Jeffrey Jones), but Tim Burton, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, refused to confirm this suspicion. "We'll see," was all he said at the time.
Two months later, with the release of the first full theatrical trailer, this minor mystery has been solved thanks to an utterance by Jenna Ortega, who plays Lydia's rebellious teenage daughter Astrid. "I can't believe grandpa's dead." It's Charles' death, then, that serves as the catalyst for the sequel's plot, as confirmed by the following synopsis:

Before becoming one of Hollywood’s most beloved leading men, Chris Pratt lived in an apartment behind the TLC Chinese Theater. Well into the early morning, he would wander on the Walk of Fame and stare at the stars beneath his feet, wondering if his time in the spotlight would ever come.
Pratt returned to the Hollywood landmark on Sunday, not to lament over broken dreams, but to help introduce Garfield creator Jim Davis as he cemented his signature outside the TLC Chinese Theater at “The Garfield Movie” premiere.
“[He] absolutely rocked the part,” said Davis about Pratt’s performance as the lasagna-loving cat. “You laugh just listening to [his] kind of timing. He also has the ability to go over to the softer side and to sound angry and stuff like that. So, it’s not just the humor, but his ability to bring out all sides of the character.”

They each put their own spin on TLC‘s “Waterfalls” before Miss Cleocatra was forced to unmask and reveal herself as actress, singer and Walk of Fame honoree Jenifer Lewis. Watch her unmasking above.
“I took a long break,” she told host Nick Cannon during her unmasked interview. “When they called I said, ‘You know, I haven’t been on stage, singing for a long time.’ So I said, ‘Come on, let’s go!’ And it was fun! Twenty years after its release, the Jennifer Garner-led comedy 13 Going on 30 is still thriving.
Sony released Gary Winick’s comedy in theaters April 23, 2004, and the film earned $96 million ($159 million today) at the global box office. Also featuring Mark Ruffalo, Judy Greer and Andy Serkis, the movie centered on teenage Jenna Rink (played by Christa B. Allen, now known as Christa Belle), who gets embarrassed at a party and makes a wish that transforms her into her 30-year-old self (Garner).
Co-writers Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa, in addition to Belle, separately share with The Hollywood Reporter about other actresses being considered for Garner’s part, Ruffalo feeling hesitant to do the “Thriller” dance, memories of Winick (who died of cancer in 2011 at age 49), the status of a stage musical, and persistent chatter among the film’s team regarding a potential onscreen reboot.

Canadian actor-brothers Shamier Anderson (John Wick 4) and Stephan James (If Beale Street Could Talk) had their stars unveiled on Scarborough’s Walk of Fame. The men were raised in the marginalized Toronto community by a single mother who emigrated to Canada from Jamaica.
“It’s really humbling and flattering to receive something like this in my hometown, at a mall where I grew up, where I shopped, it’s pretty cool,” Anderson told The Hollywood Reporter.
The local Walk of Fame honor for the fast-rising Hollywood stars is more than an exercise in collective positive thinking for an inner-city neighborhood that earlier brought to the world celebrities like Mike Myers, Jim Carrey and The Weeknd.
The brothers are at work via their Bay Mills Studios production banner — named after the community housing project they grew up in Scarborough — on a landmark TV drama set in the inner-city community that is their home away from Hollywood.

It’s tough being the daughter of one of the coolest rock stars in the world. At least, that’s what Zoë Kravitz would have you believe as she was joined by Denzel Washington this week for the unveiling of her father Lenny Kravitz’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Four-time Grammy winner Kravitz was honored Tuesday with the star but got roasted by his daughter, who took the opportunity to gently mock her dad, the rock star and style icon.
“I’ve seen the way you show up and take care of the people you love,” the Big Little Lies actress said from the podium. “I’ve seen your incredible dedication to your art. But mostly, I’ve seen through your shirts. According to my dad, if it doesn’t expose your nipples, it’s not a shirt. And sure, it used to embarrass me when you...

Hollywood, California – March 08: Eugene Levy is honored with Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame timed to the global premiere of Apple TV+’s “The Reluctant Traveler With Eugene Levy” on March 08, 2024 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Eric Charbonneau/Getty Images for Apple TV+) Considering it took him until he was 30 years old to get his first TV role, as a regular player on the sketch show Sctv, Eugene Levy seemed like he would be an unlikely candidate for a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. Yet, sure enough, at the age of 77, he’s achieved that honor after achieving both fame and acclaim in the American Pie movies, Christopher Guest’s series of mockumentary films, and, of course, the Emmy Award-winning comedy Schitt’s Creek Currently starring in his own reality series, The Reluctant Traveler, Levy talked about what it means for him to be honored with his Walk of Fame star.

This time last year, Katja Cahill was taking a break pre-Oscars to visit “Banshees of Inisherin” breakout Jenny the Miniature Donkey — and her date (!!) — in a livestock trailer outside the Dolby.
“That was the best part of my Oscars, just getting to go hang out in the donkey trailer,” Cahill told IndieWire. “And donkeys have support donkeys too, so there were two donkeys there.” A frequent Oscars contributor, the costume designer crafted a glittering gold vest she described as a “blinged-out service animal jacket” for Jenny to wear on stage.
At the 96th Academy Awards, the self-professed animal lover once again brought her artistry to an attendee of a different species. Cahill dressed “Anatomy of a Fall” scene-stealer Messi the dog — who played Snoop for director Justine Triet’s Best Picture nominee and Best Original Screenplay winner (co-written with Arthur Harari) — in an oversized bow tie.

Every Angeleno knows — and every tourist finds out — that spending time in Hollywood does not translate into hobnobbing with celebrities. For the three weeks of my contract job at the Tcl Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, friends and family asked if I had seen any celebrities. Every time, the answer was no.
As my time in Hollywood drew to a close, I knew I had one last shot. The day before I left for home, the Academy Awards would be held at the Dolby Theatre, mere steps away from the Chinese Theatre and my Airbnb. All of Hollywood’s biggest stars would be on the red carpet. I couldn’t lose.
I had been tracking preparations for the big event for over a week and a half. The city started closing down streets to prepare on February 29, and security was tight. This year, unlike previous years, large metal fencing was...

Jimmy Kimmel returned to his day job Monday to give folks a fun postmortem of the Oscars — especially the part where John Cena hid his private parts while giving away the award for Best Costume.

There are “child stars,” and then there are performers that start working during childhood only to become bona fide, beloved screen icons, enjoying long, varied careers throughout their lives. Following in the footsteps of Shirley Temple, Natalie Wood and Mickey Rooney, Macaulay Culkin has — for three decades and counting — been a contemporary standard bearer for that personal and professional journey.
Culkin became a full-fledged cultural phenomenon after the explosive commercial success of his fifth film, 1990’s “Home Alone,” which he made when he was just 10 years old. The film grossed $476 million worldwide, due in direct part to his mischievous-yet-vulnerable performance as Kevin McAllister. But beginning in his teenage years, Culkin began seeking projects that piqued his artistic interests rather than sustaining his immediate and colossal celebrity. Even without any expectation for those subsequent efforts to reach the same stratospheric heights as his early breakthrough, Culkin’s star wattage has barely flickered,...

On Thursday, Gwen Stefani received a star on the Walk of Fame and was moved to tears by her husband Blake Shelton‘s speech.
“The first time that I ever met Gwen was in 2014,” Shelton, 47, recalled. “She wasn’t like any other famous person that I had ever met before. She drove herself to work in a black minivan with car seats in it.”
Stefani, 54, laughed as he spoke.
“She didn’t roll in with security,” he continued. “She came in with a baby and two little boys, which at the time worked like security because nobody was going near — it was chaos.”
The country singer said that from the very start, it was clear that Stefani cared about her children – Kingson, Zuma and Apollo – more than anything.
“And now, standing here almost ten years later after I first met her, I can say without question that being a mother...

John Waters was delighted that he’s “closer to the gutter than ever” as his name was added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday.
In his acceptance speech, Waters said that the Walk of Fame was the first landmark he saw when he got to Los Angeles.
“After driving across the country with David Locke, I got out of my vehicle in 1970 at Hollywood and Vine, darted across the street and got a jaywalking ticket,” he recalled. “The first one — and I never looked back.”
Waters’ star is located outside of the Larry Edmunds Bookshop on Hollywood Blvd. and N. Cherokee Ave. Waters said bookstore, which specializes in literature about film and showbiz history, is his favorite spot on the famous street.

When John Waters touched down in Hollywood decades ago, he immediately had a run-in with authorities. “I got out of my vehicle in 1970 at Hollywood and Vine and darted across the street and got a jaywalking ticket, the first one, and I never looked back,” recalled the filmmaker while standing at the podium Monday to receive a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.
Waters, surrounded by throngs of fans and well-wishers, found himself not far from that famous intersection, but on the other side of a Hollywood career that has produced such films as Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble, Desperate Living, Hairspray, Cry-Baby, Serial Mom, Pecker, Cecil B. Demented and others. And he couldn’t be happier with the gritty Hollywood setting. “God, here I am, closer to the gutter than ever,” quipped the 77-year-old, who has long been referred to as a maestro of “trash” films or the “king of filth.

Bruce Willis’ wife, Emma Heming, spent the day out with her daughters in L.A. to pay tribute to the girl’s father.
The video of their outing shows clips and pictures switching between 2018 and 2023 as they visit the same areas in Hollywood they had gone to five years ago.
Their first stop was at Willis’ star on the Walk of Fame, where they posed and took pictures. They then went to Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum. The video shows the two daughters, Mabel, 11, and Evelyn, 9, going up to the wax figure of their father and hugging him.
“That’s Daddy!” a younger Mabel exclaimed. “Daddy, I missed you so much.”
The clip then shows a four-year-old Evelyn following her older sister’s action and saying the same words.
“2018 vs 2023—it’ll never get old #proudfamily,” Heming wrote in the caption.
Earlier this month, Willis took the two girls to Disneyland.

Blake Shelton stays busy with his music career, a bit of acting and a lot of career coaching on “The Voice.” He’s been on the series since the beginning, and his picks have won nine times and counting over the show’s 22 seasons. But despite his busy schedule, he returns to his Oklahoma roots time and time again for relaxation and philanthropy.
Though Shelton moved to Nashville after high school, he remains connected his home state with a 1,300 acre ranch near the town of Tishomingo. As an avid outdoorsman, it stands to reason that he’d support nonprofits with the same values.

It wasn’t until Billie Lourd was in middle school that she finally took a seat in front of the television, unprompted, to watch a little film called Star Wars.
While her mother, the late Carrie Fisher, had been trying for years to get her to check out George Lucas’s sci-fi classic as a way to earn cool points thanks to her starring role as Princess Leia, Lourd, now 30, would typically “roll my eyes and yell, ‘It’s too loud.'” But when boys her age confessed how much they fantasized about Fisher, she decided to press play.
“I went home to investigate who this person was they were talking about. I finally watched the movie I had forever considered too loud, and finally figured out what all the fuss was about with the lady in the TV,” Lourd relayed from the podium on Thursday during Fisher’s posthumous Walk of Fame ceremony.

Carrie Fisher’s brother, Todd, is speaking out in response to remarks made by his niece, Billie Lourd, on why he wasn’t invited to Carrie’s Walk of Fame ceremony.
Todd spoke with Et on Wednesday and addressed claims Lourd recently made in a statement given to The Hollywood Reporter in which she accused Todd of trying to “capitalize” on her death.
“I take issue with what she said on every level,” Todd told Et. “There was no money made on anything.”
Carrie died on Dec. 26, 2016 at 60 years old. The next day, the actress’ mother — and Lourd’s grandmother — the iconic performer Debbie Reynolds, also died at 84.
“I did one 20/20 interview, and I didn’t charge for that,” Todd shared. “I only did that because the pundits were making a big deal out of the fact that my mother died of a broken heart. And it was really annoying...

Billie Lourd defended her decision to not invite Carrie Fisher’s siblings to the late Star Wars icon’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on Thursday, May 4th, aka Star Wars Day.
In a statement to TMZ, the Ticket to Paradise actor reamed Fisher’s brother Todd and half-sisters Joely and Tricia Leigh Fisher, sharing, “I apologize to anyone reading this for feeling the need to defend myself publicly from these family members. But unfortunately, because they publicly attacked me, I have to publicly respond. The truth is I did not invite them to this ceremony. They know why.”
Lourd attributed the snub to how Fisher’s siblings “chose to process their grief publicly and capitalize on my mother’s death” by seeking “multiple interviews and selling individual books for a lot of money” that also focused on their late mother, Debbie Reynolds, who tragically passed away one day after...

Billie Lourd has long preferred to keep her personal life as private as possible but the actress has taken the rare step of releasing a public statement to quiet family discord by offering her side of the story ahead of a special ceremony honoring her late mother Carrie Fisher.
In a statement received by The Hollywood Reporter, Lourd first apologizes to “anyone reading this for feeling the need to defend myself publicly” from the family members, adding that she’s only doing so after being “publicly attacked by them” via statements given to TMZ and posted on social media. She then confirms that she did not invite Fisher’s siblings Todd, Joely and Tricia Leigh Fisher to Thursday’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony and “they know why.”

Well, it's about time! The late actor, novelist and humorist, Carrie Fisher, will finally receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in a posthumous ceremony that will take place on Star Wars Day, May the 4th. When Fisher passed away suddenly just after Christmas day in 2016, a fan-made star appeared on Hollywood and North Orange Drive to serve as a makeshift memorial to the screen legend where onlookers and tourists started to gather to pay their respects. The star read, "Carrie Fisher. May the Force be with you always. Hope." Now, Fisher will be honored with an official star on Hollywood Boulevard just down the street from the El Capitan Theater.
Fittingly, Fisher's daughter Billie Lourd (who shared the screen with her mother in the "Star Wars" sequel trilogy) will be accepting the star on her behalf. Fisher's own mother, Debbie Reynolds, received her own star on the...
