Few things are more sublime than finding back-to-back features that hit some specific thematic sweet spot. Drive-in theaters may not be the popular viewing spot they once were, but with the overwhelming accessibility we now have, one can program their own personal double bill. Today, we’ve run through the gamut of 2017 films to select the finest pairings and tried to sway from the most obvious (i.e. a combination of Dunkirk, Darkest Hour and The Finest Hour). Check out list the below, and we’d love to hear your own picks, which can be left in the comments.

Mel B spiced up her niece's life, big time.
The America's Got Talent judge embraced her Scary Spice roots while hosting a Spice Girls-themed party for her teenage niece, Tillie Thalia.
Mel took to Instagram on Friday to share pics from the epic night. In one photo, Tillie dresses up like her aunt in the Spice Girls' 1996 music video, "Wannabe," while holding two awards Mel and the group won, including a moonman trophy from MTV.
The 42-year-old singer joins in on the fun in another snap, wearing the glittery bodysuit she rocked when the Spice Girls performed at the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony in London.

A spiritual successor to Road Rash that is set in a Grand Theft Auto-style open world sounds like an excellent idea, doesn’t it?
Well, as it turns out, an idea isn’t all you need when it comes to making games. If it was, I’d be a multi-billionaire that wouldn’t be talking to the likes of you right now. Unfortunately, Road Rage appears to be an idea with little else of substance behind it.
The concept behind the game is exactly as I’ve described. It’s motorcycle combat in a GTA-like world. An underground group of bikers in the city of Ashen have decided that the time has come to rise up and overthrow the oppressors that have turned their formerly booming homeland into a dark and murderous place. To do this, they’ll take part in a series of motorcycle races, elimination events, stunt challenges,...

It’s downright amazing that Skyrim is still going strong after all this time. Released back in 2011, Bethesda’s open-world RPG masterpiece set gamer’s imaginations aflame, and resonated with such significance, that many fell head over heels in love as if Cupid himself had unleashed a well-aimed arrow straight into their heart (or should I say “knee” — ahem).
Fast forward to 2017, and it’s a title that’s still doing surprisingly well with the release of this newly fangled Skyrim: Switch Edition as well as a Psvr version dropping shortly, too. Like the re-animated corpse of an ancient undead draugr, it’s a title that refuses to lay down and give up the ghost, which is great for those – like me – who consider the icy Nordic mountains of Skyrim as a sort of home away from home.

When it comes to hosting a party, Hilary Duff turned to a pro for advice.
The star of Younger, who has partnered with Callie Collection wines, tells People she read a tip in Ina Garten’s cookbook awhile back that has stuck with her ever since.
“One thing that I’ve learned is to give people jobs so everyone is involved,” Duff says. “Not necessarily like a potluck — although I do that, too — if I’m serving dinner and making appetizers and stuff, when people are arriving I like to give them little jobs and I think everybody wants that.

Rage Against The Machine is a well-known rock group but when you add in Owen Wilson saying ‘wow’ it actually makes sense. In some case his repetition of that word kind of sounds like a cat winding up for a really spectacular howl or yell, but in others it’s almost a whispered utterance that conveys some real feeling. He’s a good actor and a great comedian but you kind of have to wonder if he knows just how often he says the word ‘wow’. Seriously, he uses it a lot. These mashups are usually a lot of fun and this

A few weeks back, I put together a list of a bunch of different outdoor decorations you can make in order to add some thrills and chills to your yards this Halloween season. If there’s one thing that’s almost as certain as death and taxes, it’s that as soon as the fall season hits, most folks go into Pumpkin Overload Mode, and for good reason. These popular gourds are not only a timeless symbol of Halloween, but they also offer up a wonderful flavor that’s great with savory and sweet treats. With that in mind, I rounded up these 10 pumpkin-themed recipes that should satisfy any cravings you may be having this October.

While Halloween is a holiday that most of us horror-loving adults have claimed as our own, that doesn’t mean we should overlook how much kids look forward to October 31st each year. That being said, I put together 10 different delicious recipes I’ve collected over the last year from Pinterest that your young ghouls and goblins will enjoy during October. Plus, if you’re throwing the little monsters a Halloween-themed party in the coming weeks, most of these ideas are super easy to do, and shouldn’t cost you a lot to make, either.
Candy Corn Hot Chocolate
Candy Corn might be a controversial treat amongst us older folks, but I know kids still love those sugary snacks, which is why I thought this Candy Corn Hot Chocolate (via The Magical Slow Cooker) would be a fun drink to serve at a party or after a long night of trick-or-treating.

Even Jane Goodall thought there have probably been enough documentaries made about her life and work. But when Brett Morgen and National Geographic came calling, she eventually agreed to participate in a movie using newly discovered footage of her trips to Gombe, Africa to study chimpanzees in the 1960s.
“Jane,” which played as part of the International Documentary Association’s annual screening series in Los Angeles, not only spotlights Goodall’s early work, but it also tells the story of how she fell in love with her first husband, nature photographer Hugo van Lawick.

There are movies that require explanation. I would begrudge no one for Googling around to try and find out who knew what and when in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. I myself had to do some research to try and understand what was going on in Atomic Blonde. Whenever a new Marvel movie ends with a single shot that makes the rest of the crowd cheer, I have to turn to the person next to me and ask them what it meant. Without a doubt, there are films that have objective facts or truths that may escape a casual viewers ken, or even the eye of someone desperately trying to get everything straight.
That being said, the cottage industry of “explained” articles and videos has been having a rather insidious effect on film dialogue. Perhaps it started earlier than this, but it may have reached its sinister apotheosis with the release...

All you need to know is that the show is from David Simon, the creator behind HBO’s acclaimed show “The Wire,” and George Pelecanos, an acclaimed author and screenwriter who worked on drug trade drama as well as “Treme.” If you need more, the show also explores prostitution, porn and the sex industry in New York in the 1970s, perhaps brushing against the same era that Martin Scorsese tried to examine through the lens of rock and punk in the short lived “Vinyl.” Here’s the synopsis for “The Deuce”:

After violence erupted and claimed the life of an anti-racist protester at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, this weekend, President Donald Trump faced growing pressure on social media to fire chief strategist Steve Bannon — the man who once proudly proclaimed his Breitbart News website as “the platform for the alt-right.”
The hashtag #FireBannon was trending on Twitter for much of Sunday evening and into Monday as celebrities and politicians called for Trump to axe Bannon, who is often cited as the nexus between the president and white nationalists.
“White supremacy has no place in America,” tweeted Star Trek actor George Takei.

As a result, it should come as no surprise to learn that Season 2 of the series is in production at the moment, meaning that interested individuals should be able to expect the new episodes sometime in 2018. Some people have speculated about it coming out in spring as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s pattern of spring releases for its TV shows, but at this point in time, it is not enough information to say for sure. If Jean-Luc Godard really meant it when he said “All you need to make a movie is a girl and a gun”, how come he never made a movie with just a girl and a gun? Vivre Sa Vie might just about scrape through, but Godard basically took it as read that there would be a guy in the mix.
Hollywood, on the other hand, has started to take Godard’s maxim literally. We have had countless “girl and gun” movies recently, and virtually none have stuck. It’s as though the studios looked at Bourne, Bond, John Wick and all the other franchised-up action heroes and all had the same bright idea: “Make the hero a woman!” Often that becomes a woman wearing next to nothing,...

Out of all of Poe’s works, few have had as big of an impact on me as “The Pit and the Pendulum.” Like many youngsters with an interest in the macabre, it was the first to immediately grab my attention, its title conjuring images of a massive, swinging blade cutting a poor sap wide open. Of course, there’s more to the poem than that—it’s focused less on the titular blade and more on the paranoia it creates, as well as painting a portrait of the horrors of the Spanish Inquisition. It also has, quite infamously, one of the most frustrating deus ex machinas of all time, where the French army stops the swinging pendulum mere seconds before it can bisect our bound protagonist, much to the disappointment of English students the world over. While it’s hardly Poe’s best work, it’s certainly among his most iconic,...

A couple years back, Warner Bros. released the surprisingly strong Tom Cruise flick, Edge of Tomorrow. Unfortunately, the film had been plagued with a dull name and subpar marketing, and as such, most audience members didn’t go out to see the film in theaters. It wasn’t until after the word of mouth started to make its way among fans that they started to make their way out. While it did give the film a longer tail at the theaters, it didn’t help much in making the studio money.

Back when directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller were hired to take on the standalone Han Solo film, it did raise a few eyebrows. While the two are very talented directors, they were mainly known for their work in comedy. All you need to do is look at their body of work: Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, 21 Jump Street, 22 Jump Street, The Lego Movie, and the pilot for Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Clearly, these are guys who know what they’re doing, but it’d be hard not to think of them as comedy directors, first and foremost.
More recently, the pair were fired as directors of Han Solo, and from everything we’ve heard, it was because they were turning the character of Han Solo into a much funnier one than he should have been. Taking the helm from this point forward is Ron Howard, but don’t think that...

Director Doug Liman's never been one to back away from a fresh challenge. Chris Peckover’s Better Watch Out (formerly Safe Neighborhood) is more a gift-wrapped home invasion tickler than break-in terrorizer à la The Strangers, but that doesn’t translate to a lack of creeps. The innocence of Home Alone meets jingle bell schlock, and while Zack Kahn’s story isn’t wholly unpredictable, what plays out still subverts typical babysitter-in-peril tropes (enough). My only advice? Don’t watch a single trailer, clip, or interview until you’ve experienced Better Watch Out for yourself. Hell, you should probably stop reading my review. Spoilers won’t follow, but Peckover’s strengths all hinge on surprise. No peeking until Christmas morning!
The setup, without divulging twists, is a simple one. Thirteen-year-old Luke (Levi Miller) is in love with his babysitter Ashley (Olivia DeJonge). He’s determined to win over the high school sweetheart while his parents (played by Virginia Madsen and Patrick Warburton) enjoy a night out.

Superhero media has become more and more popular in recent times, as shown by not one but two shared universes that encompass movies, TV shows, video games, and other media projects. As a result, it should come as no surprise to learn that there is also plenty of interest in media projects that parodizes superhero media, meaning that it is an excellent time for The Tick to make a return to the TV screen. For people who are unfamiliar with the franchise, The Tick started out as a comic book series in the late 1980s, which was centered around the
