A Neat Show That Is A Parody And Tribute To Classic Tokusatsu Shows

Ginormo is a series on Stephen He's YouTube channel that serves as both a parody and a tribute to classic Japanese superhero shows like Ultraman as well as monsters movies like Godzilla.

Presented as a show Stephen He found that his Grandpa Bruce made back in the 1970's, but was so bad, it was cancelled before it can even air its first episode, Ginormo is set in Tokyo, as the land of the rising sun is under attack from the evil Beast Attack Artillery Division (or BAAD for short), led by Lord Metagon (played by Alan Chow). To protect the city and the world, the Super Protection Force (or SPF for short) build a super robot, Ginormo.

Yeah, this is a neat comedy series on YouTube. A parody as well as a tribute, Ginormo takes great effort to look like it was filmed in the 1970's, a time before CGI animation took over. Therefore, the series has rubber monster suits, toy vehicles and flimsy bulding props, and other low budget effects that were present in Japanese superhero, mecha, and monster shows and movie of the decade. But what sets this apart is that it is also a parody, as it has its fair share of nonsense and funny moments that seem to come out of nowhere. Plus, the actors are all good, being all APII.

better than a hollywood movie

I have been watching steven he for months and months and months and this series is just amazing and considering the budget it is one of the best series i have ever seen .

Overall i love it and recommend everyone to watch it as you do not need to have a specific website or pay any money to watch it.

The show keeps u interested and the writing is amazing .i may be biased as i have been watching all of the characters in this show .

BUT it is not a show for you if you do no like fantasy and comedy together. Another thing if you think that this show or series is going to be a cringey comedy , trust me it is not .

Basically I LOVE IT.

Absolutely amazing everything about it Is so awesome the plot the script the cast and especially the vfx they are amazing it's genius. I can't even start to describe how much I love this show the plot is better than most Holywood movies and the cast is legendary. After watching the three episodes that are released at the time I'm in tears its emotional I think I will never be able to forget this this show its simply the greatest thing EVER!! Yes the greatest thing Ever not the Greatest show the greatest thing EVER. I don't have any more words to describe it but I will say one thing if you don't watch this show you have wasted your life.

Steven He fans will enjoy it, non Steven He Fans will too.

This show must be one of the most genius ideas to come from humanity. Everything is just so perfect that it's hard to describe it. Steven He has always managed to be a genius in many things especially his YouTube videos but this takes it to a whole new dimension.

TBH, i don't know how something like this could have been refused by every TV network back then, Steven's grandfather should instead be proud of what he has accomplished and boy are we proud of this creation.

If there is anything to go by, let's just say that the acting is extremely good. Steven He is absolutely perfect for the role of a superhero, as his comedic touch is always perfect and the jokes always land. While this may be Lauren Kim's first acting role as a still young girl her performance is fantastic, she can be serious, comedic and adorable all at once without struggling and doing a dang good job. Thid also includes the rest of the cast.

The cinematography and green screen is also really good. Sure, it is flawed but that's the joke and you know what, they try to make good green screen, so that's a plus.

Overall, this is an absolute blast and i can't wait for the next episodes.

Love the storyline, the cast, ad all the effects. They have all put in so much work, and all the parodies make the series so unique to every cast member, but also cohesive all together. I would highly recommend everyone to watch it, it's totally worth it. Some may say that it's cringe, but I love the genre, it's funny, a bit silly, and a well-rounded series. It's a shame that it only has a few episodes, I would love to watch more of it. I'm also super excited for the cast members to hopefully work together again in the future, or make a season two of the series, can I loved Ginormo! Keep up the good work, everyone!

It definetly is a good attempt but I personally was expecting more. I can straight up say that 'I didn't totaly like it'.

Although there were some parts where it goes good, it never carried the realism between two people. Dialogues are very bad. I was really expecting some maturity in the dialogues or the character progression. Vfx is good, we can easily forgive the mistakes the made in vfx keeping the budget in mind. Definitely a good effort. Unfortunatly it's not a good parody. Yes it can engage you if you have no expectation or if you limit your expectations. Coming to actors and performances They did exeedingly well. Mainly steven he( emotional damage guy) aced it. And other characters were good in their roles. Direction would have been better than this. I can rate it an 8 out of 10. Final word: If you are a fan of steven he or any other youtubers acting in this film, you definitely will like it. I am sorry if I gave any spoilers in this review. It's What I Expected

My main problem is the script and actors. It's all big YouTubers except they say the stupidest things and do cliche things. I know that it might be trying to make fun of the tropes but it seems that they're just doing the actual trope. They don't try to spoof classic Godzilla movies and instead just make it worse. The actors are also really wooden. I don't mean to discredit the actor but they are all stiff compared to what they typically act like in skits. There are good things in it though. The sets and costumes look fantastic for a YouTube tv show. Overall there is wooden acting, replication of tropes, and nice settings and costumes.

It's a bit trash but a bit good

It's so trash it's so trash it is one of worst ever tv shows ever but it is a bit good still some episodes are trash as heck like the acting isn't good the script isn't that good like what are they doing in there this is so stupid show ever i think you should make a new show that has a good script and please to the acting good if you make a new show, and that new show also needs action more action and more thinking into plans make the villans act more evil make it more evil make them act more like a villain and can you also make it more dramatic and nathan doan always says WE'RE GONNA DIE! It is annoying.
