The Drama Desk Awards — commonly known as the theater world’s Golden Globes, though nominees are represented across all NYC productions in a season — are the last precursor to the Tony Awards (check EW.com tomorrow morning for a full list of those). And judging by the list below, it’s going to be quite a competitive year, with some pretty heavy-hitters mixed in with longshots, not to mention some major snubs (Alan Cumming, Cyndi Lauper, Fiona Shaw, Chaplin’s Rob McClure to name a few). The winners will be announced at NYC’s Town Hall on May 19. Below is...

Previously on Glee, Will Schuester learned that anchoring your grown-up emotional health onto a 19-year-old teenager is a proposition fraught with regret. Ryder explored the world of online dating and transphobia. Blaine Warbler rejoined the Cheerios in a double-crossing black-ops move intended to bring down Sue Sylvester from the inside. Also, and most importantly, he revealed the top/bottom dynamic between him and Kurt. They switch, Ok? They're switcherooers. Sometimes one is the top and other times the other one is the top and sometimes one is on one side an sometimes one is the other side and there are various shapes they make with their bodies and all of them are based on shared power and pleasure. Jokes that do not fully explore said dynamic, even by the most well-intentioned recapper, will not be tolerated. Also, Santana owned Paula Abdul and Finn flew to New York to exercise his...

Call me crazy, but I don’t really understand the concept of guilty pleasures. Not to get all Lima Heights on you, but I likes what I likes — and I’ll tell ya what I want (what I really, really want) in my life and on my iPod, be it Spice Girls or Was (Not Was) or even Billie Piper.
And so it goes without saying that I had a blast watching tonight’s music-heavy installment of Glee, which centered around the New Directions’ kids confessing their hidden obsessions with Barry Manilow, Abba, Phil Collins, Wham, Bobby Brown and the Spice Girls.

I'm taking over the meme today for the vacationing Ed. I'll try not to buckle under this responsibility and valor. Onward!
First, the bad news: St. Kylie Minogue had an affair in 1994 with her Street Fighter costar Jean-Claude Van Damme. Not that we blame her.
I'm not done geeking out about The Price is Right's search for a male model -- a "Barker's Brawny," if you will. The winner will be decided through a five-episode webseries where viewers can vote for their favorite candidate. The selected stud only gets to model dinette sets and jetskis for a week, but I'm hoping he'll be as excited to be a part of the show as unforgettable contestant Steven Raff was.
Kind of hard to believe that the 2012 Olympics were the most watched U.S. TV event in Nielsen history. Who knew that America cared about Matthew Mitcham's Speedo this much? I'm actually crying.

Jon M. Chu is in talks to direct Masters of the Universe, which begs the question of who could play Prince Adam/He-Man.Kellan Lutz springs to mind for me (he'd look hot in the harness), but I'm sure some of you have better ideas than me.
The lead developer of Minecraft has written a blog saying that when he developed it, all the characters were created without gender, and any character could reproduce with any other character. Which, according to him, makes all the characters gay. h/t allan
I've been fascinated by the internet campaign to hijack a WalMart contest and send rapper Pitbull to the Kodiak, Alaska branch. Initially, David Thorpe, who engineered the whole thing was invited to tag along, but WalMart wasn't willing to pick up the expense. So Pitbull paid for the trip, which I think is exceedingly cool of him.
