Some may say (Legend of Darkhorse) is adventurous and edgy. Others might say it's simply trivial. Perhaps the best assessment is somewhere in between. One thing for sure is that the cinematography is a visual feast. Set in Texas in a unknown town in a fictional county "DarkHorse", it was actually shot around Houston Texas and Nasa from Q&A.
(Legend of Darkhorse) is formulaic up to a point. Quirky strangers feature protagonists who are outsiders, non-conformist, slightly emotionally unstable and victims of persecution by an established order in a nice surprise "spiritual world" of DarkHorse county. Estimating a year before the break into the 'Second Act' the Sheriff loses his family, they become hidden aftermath of a hit and run -Now the story begins smoking.
Anything more I would be in the "spoiler category"
When all is said and done, (Legend of Darkhorse) is sometimes a little too campy for its own good.
But look a little closer, especially the last 7 minutes, and you'll also see it's a well executed tale of the power of redemption.
