Stay calm everyone – just like Stranger Things sent the internet into meltdown a few weeks ago after the new trailer for the second season debuted, the same is set to happen this week as Netflix have unveiled the first look at the second season of their hit show The Crown which is set to arrive back on Netflix on December 8th.

After the success of the first series, the follow-up jumps forward in time a little and tells the inside story of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign (Award Winner Claire Foy) as she deals with the break up of the social order after World War II. Season Two sees new talent arrive in the form of Michael C. Hall (Dexter) as John F. Kennedy, Matthew Goode (Stoker) as Antony Armstrong-Jones and Jodi Balfour (Quarry) as Jackie Kennedy.

This is a fun way for any filmmaker or fan to end the week. Eyes on Cinema recently uploaded a full 24-minute interview with Orson Welles, originally broadcast in 1955. The discussion aired as part of “Press Conference – A series in which personalities who make the news answer impromptu questions from men who write the news.” Then 39-years-old, Welles had yet to make any notable television appearance, a fact which moderator William Hardcastle readily points out. Right out of the gate, he asks the master thespian and filmmaker why has he avoided television when he has seized every other medium?
