Several brief clips from the animated SAMUEL SLATER BUILT FIRST TEXTILE FACTORY (1958) were used in Episode #1 as part of the stock footage used from the Pond5 company.
While in England, filmmaker Christian de Rezendes and Michael Grove filmed (with the assistance of Michael Lafond and Natalia Wieczorek) rehearsals of the stage play, SLATER THE DAMNED TRAITOR. The play was written by Steve Bonham, directed by David Barton, produced by the Harvest Moon Theatre Company and featured the actors Paul Broesmith, Irene Button, and Alan Smith. Clips of the rehearsal were used in the first episode of the series.
