Gwen Tyler claims to have been pushed off a ladder at her home, Humphrey refuses to believe it was an accident, and considers it a case of attempted murder.
A fine start to the much anticipated series, with the current run of Death in Paradise coming to an end, this feels like a nice extension, a show I never want to end.
It was so much more than just a spinoff, a very strong start, with a good mystery, nice set of characters, great location, and best of all, we get to see Humphrey back, I know many have wanted to see him return to Saint Marie, but this seems as close as we're going to get.
I really did like the new team, a mix of youth and experience, a nice bunch of acting talent, I anticipate laughs from Felicity Montagu.
This was well acted, bonus points for Samantha Spiro appearing, what a brilliant actress, excellent here once again.
A thoroughly enjoyable first episode, 8/10.
