Sex & Nudity

- A girl has a crush on a boy and goes crazy when someone interferes. She chases the boy's friend around saying she will "kill him" for interfering. It's devoid of sex and its a pure crush. It's played for laughs.
- There is no real sex or nudity in the show. There is only a 30 second scene, mentioned above. Then the show is devoid of it.
- One female with tank top on moves & her breast jiggle enough for it to be noticeable.
- In the Chimera Ant arc, we see a woman's butt. But since she is a Chimera Ant, her skin is purple.
- A Woman character(member) of the Phantom Troupe is usually shown wearing a blazer revealing all of her breast cleavage
- There is almost no nudity besides seeing a charcters bare butt later in the show, they are an and it's not sexual at all but is present. A few characters wear revealing clothing.
- Most of it is censored in the Netflix version.
- A villan in the show (Hisoka) is Often Seen sexualizing The two younger main Charecters although being quite older than them. In one instance, He is seen naked in front of them as He speaks to them (The backside is visible and the front is Slightly covered yet can be made out). This Can be quite disturbing and uncomfortable for some viewers.

Violence & Gore

- People are hurt, by being shot. There is no blood in sight. It's made in a way so that its very clean, and over soon.
- A girl gets killed and eaten by a chimera ant. Blood is present, but all we really see is the ant chewing.
- The Chimera ant king kills 5 guards by beheading them you can see blood but its in black and white.
- Both Yorknew City and Chimera Ant are the bloodiest arcs of the show
- A Chimera like centaur crushed a man's head. You can see blood coming out
- If you have watched shows like fma, than this shouldn't be a problem for you in terms of violence and scary stuff.
- Killua pretends being poison by a chimera ant. In order to behead it
- Kurapika's chains brutally beats one of the phantom troupe members. The member servely pukes out pools of blood.
- After the Chimera Ant arc, they introduce a character that can grant wishes. If you deny any of her requests 4 times, she kills the victim in a very gruesome way. One character gets squished , and her face turns purple right before blood bursts out of her head. Many other gruesome deaths, too.
- Killua is abused by his older brother.You can see Killua bruises.
- A boy bashes his father's head with a sledgehammer. You can see the blood on the sledgehammer
- A man head explodes when he disobeyed an order from his boss
- Killua rips a chimera ants head off then proceeds crushing it leaving blood spray
- Phinks and feitan killed two men on road. You can see can blood running down there mouth and ears
- Merum kills a man for refusing to play a game with him. You can a pool of blood but not the body
- A man is sliced open with his organs and intestines shown
- one character's magical abilities enable him to produce centipedes in someone's head. they are seen crawling through the interior of the head leaving marks and growing larger until their legs stick out of his head. one of the most intense parts of the show.
- Moderate violence. There are a few cases where the violence could be considered borderline severe, particularly in the Yorknew City Arc and the Chimera Ant Arc.
- The Hunter Qualification Exam arc is dangerous, and people die while taking it, but their deaths aren't shown. People jump from cliffs, fight magical creatures, etc.
- The anime series contains fantasy violence, characters using magical powers or martial arts fighting skills.
- When violence occurs it can be brutal but usually not very graphic. There is moderate animated blood on occasion.
- The show is lighthearted in the beginning of the seasons/arcs, and get more intense by the end.

Profanity

- In the English subtitles of many of the episodes, there are a few uses of swear words.
- The English Dub uses mild profanities such as "bastard", "hell", "damn", and "ass/smartass" are regular used. A few uses of "piss" and "crap". In the English dub of episodes 47, 98 and 102, "son-of-a-bitch" was also used.
- The language are very mild and occasional. Mild curse words such as "hell", "damn", "bastard", "ass", "piss" and "crap". Moderate swearing, a couple uses of "bitch/son of a bitch" and almost many use of "shit".
- Minor profanities such as "bitch," "hell," "ass," "bastard," "piss," "damn," "crap," and numerous uses of "shit."
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- A country owned by a terrorist organization creates and sells drugs, however this is brief and not a major part.
- Some cast members are shown drinking, but it's not frequent.
- Characters are seen smoking in some scenes.
- Leorio drinks alcohol.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- There are a few intense fights.
- There are some gory/intense scenes but some aren't shown on screen/implied/or not in detail.
- In the Chimera Ant arc, there is a monster that captures humans and 'turns' them into dogs, chaining them by the neck and making them walk on fours. It also kills them mercilessly whenever it wants to. It's all very upsetting for the audience, and for the main characters who witness it.
- One of the darkest Shonen to come out of Jump.
- There's a lot of tension in each major event.
- While the beginning of the story arc is light hearted, the end can be intense and stressful for the main characters.

Sex & Nudity
- In chimera ant arc, one of the main side characters infiltrates the enemy palaces by posing as one of the villain's harems. tame, no references.
- During the Chimera Ant arc, the humanoid ant creatures wear slightly skimpy outfits. An mosquito ant has her "cleavage" exposed. A male wolf has his belly and abs exposed and wears a outfit that exposes his buttocks. A male rabbit also have his body parts exposed like the wolf. And a female scorpio wearing a two-piece outfit, later when she becomes a queen, her outfit changes to a corset and a more revealing brassiere that only covers her nipples (her breasts also becomes big), and a thong showing her buttocks. The scenes involving nudity are heavily censored in Netflix. Keep in mind, they are more animal than human, and look like animals.
- Hisoka on a phone call with Gon during episode 9 Season 2. The worse that's seen is only his back side, as in bare back.
- It is implied a character turns out to be a woman, and a man got to "feel her" in order to find out. This is not shown and it was consensual.
- Hisoka gets turned on while fighting Gon. It is really disturbing but breif & kids won't even know what happened
- No sex only some nudity
- a man is seen ordering women through a broken system. he is obviously a rapist, and he is seen giggling while staring at their photos beforehand which can be quite disturbing. this implication can be suggestive for those who understand it, but fortunately nothing is shown. it is an implication alone.
- Hisoka steps out of the shower, and you can see his abs. A few seconds, quite mild.
Violence & Gore
- In the later episodes of the Chimera Ant Arc, the queen is injured and gets operated on; During the operation sequences you see her hurt body. not the graphic.
- In one episode, Gon beats a character in a fight, causing the character to die.
- At the end of the last season, the main character gets burned badly. He's seen in a hospital with his best friend crying over him. He is better by the end.
- Killua takes his opponents heart out which kills him. The action is not seen, due to his speed.
- A chimera ant like centuar brutally kills two chained humans by stepping on them. You can see blood gushing out as he do it.
- One of the main characters siblings has the power to grant wishes unless certain conditions are met. If the conditions aren't met, the person making the wish will be crush to death only leaving a pool of blood or mangled twisted body.
- A memeber of the phantom troupe bits off a chunk of a man's head automatically killing him. You can see the blood stain on the phantom memeber teeth
- One of the phantom troupe memebers used a piece of bone from a guy he just killed, launched it like a bullet to kill another man.
- Two phantom troupe members pose as auctioneer teleprompters, started a massacre via mass shooting. Leaving pools of blood. One person survived but got his head cut off soon after. You dont see the head coming off but you do here it rolling on the floor
- The leader of the phantom troupe used carnivorous fishes made from his power to torture a man. Once the fishes are gone the man automatically dies. Right after this he composes a requiem of destruction & bloodshed on the mafia as The Troupe members shoot & decapitate them in ways that push the TV-14 rating to the limit. It's pretty disturbing
- A man's gets his head cut off by a sword. A giant bug creature cuts a guys head off while trying to escape. Feitan, one of the phantom troupe memebers, is well known for decapitating people.
- Hiosoka kills one of the zoldeycx butlers by slitting his throat with a card. Causing blood to gush out.
- Kite gets his arm ripped off by a chimera ant. You can see blood spraying out
- In one episode, Gon vs Pitou is the most violent and intense fights ever made. (Although is almost hard to watch, due to the graphic scene). You can skip it though.
- During his battle with merum, netero loses his arm and leg.
- Merum is seen eating a guards intestines
- Merum rips his arm off to apologize for his disrespect. Blood is present
- This series is dark and violent at the same time
- The massacred Kura Clan members had their eyes gouged out by the Phantom Troupe.
- Chrollo Lucilfer & The Phantom Troupe slaughter the mafia in a Requiem for their dead comrade. A very artistic but incredibly violent sequence pushing the TV-14 rating to its absolute limit.
- Neferpitous death in the hands of Adult Gon is very graphic and brutal, i am 12 yrs old and i was terrified and was gagging at that scene
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- The first arc is pretty light hearted, however In the later arcs, namely the chimera ant arc is extremely dark and have many scenes of murder and gore. In one scene a child is killed by a chimera ant eats her brain (not on screen but you can easily tell what is happening).
- This series starts as a very lighthearted children's show and gradually gets much darker and bloodier. It eventually becomes apparent that the show takes place in a dystopia.
- Killua's sister has a ability where she asks something of you and if you do what she wants 3 times in a row you get a wish, but if you refuse 4 times you and the person you love the most will die. Its never shown on screen, mentioned a few times.
- Don't let the first arc fool you, in later arcs the series gets more dark and violent
- Kurapika's change in mood in later episodes can be upsetting and unsettling for viewers who like the character
- Mereum and Komugi's deaths are very emotional
- There are many disturbing and scary scenes in later of the show, especially the Chimera Ant arc.
- The Chimera Ant arc is very darkest and intense of the Hunter x Hunter.
