Henry is portrayed by Gattlin Griffith for a majority of the film and he mentions entering the 7th grade. Dylan Minnette later portrays Henry when he is in high school, during his junior and senior years. In real life, Dylan Minnette is only 23 months older than Gattlin Griffith, not 4-5 years older as the events of the film would suggest.

A limited edition (video store / retail outlet) plastic raised 3D VHS video cassette promotional poster ("Available on Videocassette") of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) seen in Henry's room. (It sold for $24.95. A $5 rebate from Pepsi-Cola reduced the price to $19.95).
