On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Treaty of Trianon, the short story by Babits Mihály published in 1921 is adapted for the screen in this short film made with mixed techniques. The plot takes place in a tavern of Pest in January 1919. Among the drinking and conversing people Mihály Babits (Bálint Adorjáni) appears together with the protagonist of the film, the unknown refugee (András Sinkovits-Vitay), who embodies the fate of many people and whose painful story takes place on the verge of reality and fantasy. In the course of the development of the story, due to its surreality, the world outside the tavern is depicted by a realistic animation. That is how fable and reality alternate.
