One reason Netflix has grown into the global leader in streaming is that it has developed content that can play almost anywhere. That latest example is “Who is Erin Carter?,” an English-language action series that unravels the mystery of a British teacher living in Spain who takes down some robbers with the skill of a trained secret agent.
Is she Interpol, Kgb, or CIA? Even with a cast of relative unknowns, the globe-trotting action captivated viewers and propelled “Erin Carter” to the top spot in this week’s Samba TV Weekly Wrap Report for August 28 to September 3. Monay, real name Jerrica Brooks (daughter of comedian J.B. Smoove), played a strong game in Claim to Fame Season 2, which came to a close on August 28 on ABC. Arguably the season’s best strategist, she came in second place behind Gabriel Cannon, whose finale challenge win gave him the power to decide the order of the final Guess-Offs, setting the stage for his win. While Jerrica proved to have the best pop culture knowledge of the cast, she was one of the many who fell victim to the Elton John theory. Chris Osmond‘s claim to fame was father Donny Osmond, but it took the young cast the entire season to bring up his name as a possibility. Somehow, Hugo Wentzel (President Jimmy Carter’s grandson) was convinced the British musician was from Utah, and he had Jerrica, J.R., and ...

Viewers of Claim to Fame Season 2 watched with mouths agape as the cast struggled to unveil Chris’s celebrity relative. If his likeness to his father, Donny Osmond, wasn’t clear enough, the many clues about him being a 1970s teen icon from Utah should have made it clear that, at the very least, the mystery person wasn’t British musician Elton John or Billy Idol. Chris tells TV Insider he couldn’t believe the theories either, and they taught him a lot about his family’s fame. “It’s very apparent to me, now that I’ve been on this show and [have seen[ what people are saying on social media, that the Osmonds, they were very prevalent in the seventies, and then they kind of split off and did their own thing,” Chris explains. “My dad did his own thing. Gabriel spoke about Nick being a dad of 12 during his “Claim to Fame” winner’s interview with Entertainment Weekly.
When asked if he’d met and could name all of Nick’s kids, Gabriel replied, “I haven’t met them, but did y’all see what happened with him? He messed up [naming] all his kids, so I’m not even gonna attempt. I’m just uncle. It’s easy.”

Claim to Fame just crowned another successful winner.
Gabriel Cannon walked away with $100,000, the title of the second Claim to Fame winner of the series, and as part of the most buzzed-about season yet.
The charismatic player was fun to watch all season and was such a deceptively good player that one of the most satisfying moments of the finale was knowing that first-boot Carly had to eat her words about the man she assumed was "too dumb" to figure anything out actually outplayed them all well.
Of course, the road to this point was unpredictable, and the two-hour finale made it unclear who would walk away with the win.
The finale delivered some twists, turns, and potentially damaging flaws in this game setup that must be rectified.
Everything about Claim to Fame Season 2 was juicy. And the series has managed to have just as much compelling and flat-out diabolic...

Claim to Fame contestant Chris was finally exposed as Donny Osmond‘s son on Monday’s (August 28) season finale after countless wrong guesses, which the “Puppy Love” singer found hilarious. Taking to Instagram on Monday night, Donny shared how proud he was of his son and poked fun at the other contestants’ struggle to figure out Chris’ celebrity relative, which included incorrect guesses such as Elvis Presley, Jim Carrey, Elton John, Billy Idol, and more. “For those of you who’ve been watching the ABC reality show, Claim to Fame, I thought my son, Chris, did an amazing job! He made that show so interesting because no one could guess which celebrity he was related to,” the beloved singer wrote. “I’m proud of my son.” ABC/John Fleenor He then signed off the post in comical fashion, writing, “Signed, Nicholas Cage. I mean, Elvis Presley. I mean, Jim Carrey.

America’s favorite guessing game reached a dramatic conclusion on Monday with the unmasking (hint, hint!) of Claim to Fame‘s four remaining celebrities — and the winner of Season 2.
Claim to Fame Season 2: Every Secret Celebrity Identity Revealed View List
Somewhat predictably, the first hour ended with Gabriel eliminating Karsyn, whose celebrity relative — she’s the niece of NASCAR great Dale Earnhardt Jr. — had already been named by several players. Gabriel being the one to send Karsyn home also felt very salt-in-wound, as she was still processing the discovery that he lied to everyone all season about his own famous family member.

ABC’s Claim to Fame Season 2 is almost over, and the winner gets to take home the grand prize. So far this season, fans have watched the relatives of famous folks attempt to hide their identity from the others in the house. And the final celeb relative standing wins. Here’s what the winner receives.
[Spoiler alert: Claim to Fame Season 2 spoilers below regarding the finale.]
What does the ‘Claim to Fame’ Season 2 winner get?
The Claim to Fame Season 2 winner receives $100,000.
Compared to other reality TV shows currently on the air, $100,000 doesn’t feel like much. Survivor and The Amazing Race — both CBS reality competition shows — offer $1 million grand prizes. With that said, $100,000 is still a good chunk of change. Season 1 winner Loreal Palmer, Keke Palmer’s older sister, explained what she planned to do with her earnings after she won.
“I want to start my own production company,” she told USA Today.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers through Claim to Fame Season 2 Episode 8.] Claim to Fame comes to a close on Monday, August 28. The two-hour Season 2 finale will reveal who walks away with the $100,000. Episode 9 kicks off at 9/8c on ABC and will send one of the final four packing before Episode 10 crowns the winner. Will it be Karsyn, Monay, Chris, or Gabriel who walks away victorious? Let’s look at their performances throughout the season. Gabriel is the clear front runner, as he’s won the most challenges and his pop culture knowledge seems to run deepest out of everyone in the final four. Monay has been a strong theorist throughout the season, but she did think Hugo’s Elton John theory held weight. Gabriel, on the other hand, didn’t buy into that idea and was the only one who got close to deciphering the true meaning of Chris’s clues. Chris’s relative, if you...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Claim to Fame Season 2 Episode 8.] We’re begging for someone on Claim to Fame to remember the Osmonds exist. Another week of new clues, and still no one in this cast has put together that Chris’s dad is Donny Osmond. While that was only a strong theory up until this point, Episode 8 revealed a clue that confirms his parentage. But the cast’s Osmond blind spot has led to a third person being sent home when guessing Chris’s relative during the guess off. Claim to Fame took its pop culture knowledge testing to new heights in this episode’s challenge, which saw the final five running around a field covered in famous names in a game similar to musical chairs. Take a look at the man in the denim jacket in this clip from ABC's Claim to Fame. His name is Chris. He has a celebrity relative. One of his fellow contestants, Jane, is about to guess that Chris is related to Elvis Presley. She has her reasons, including a clue that seemed like it was referring to a "hound dog" and a pop idol who died in the '70s.
Jane was wrong and was eliminated from the game. Then, in Episode 7, Hugo was the unlucky contestant who made the house consensus that Chris' celebrity relative was Elton John as his formal guess. Hugo was eliminated just like Jane.

Keeping secrets is going to be especially difficult in the upcoming episode of Claim to Fame. The Episode 6 challenge features a makeshift lie detector test in which every contestant must partake, and TV Insider has the exclusive first look at the challenge in the video above. The show features a cast of players with famous relatives. Each week, contestants fight to keep their celebrity relative’s identity a secret while trying to unveil everyone else’s “claim to fame.” Season 2 has already eliminated players with some huge names in their family. Week 1 saw the niece of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson get the chop (in a very dramatic fashion), with the subsequent weeks revealing more big names such as Dolly Parton and Eddie Murphy. In the clip above, hosts Kevin and Frankie Jonas lay down the ground rules for the challenge. As the elder Jo Bro states, Claim to Fame is basically “one giant investigation,...

But backstabbing his closest ally caused the knives to come out for Cole this week, with Karsyn ultimately picking him for elimination and correctly guessing that his celebrity relative is Alicia Keys. Speaking to People about his time on the show Cole said, “I didn’t actually know that I was going to pick Shayne until I was actually standing up there,” adding that he “was going back and forth between Karsyn and Shayne and the gameplay.” “I could go Karsyn and I could possibly go home, and if I’m going home, then I’m not playing the game.

ABC is switching up its Monday slate after lower-than-expected ratings for The Bachelorette Season 20.
The current season, with Charity Lawson, has been airing for the last month and is currently down almost 60% in the demo vs. The Bachelorette Season 19.
Season to date, the dating series is averaging 1.9 million viewers and a 0.33 rating in the all-important 18-49 demo.
The lower numbers could be attributed to ABC airing the series in the 9 p.m. hour instead of its regular 8 p.m. lead-off spot.
ABC has clearly taken notice of the dismal TV ratings and hopes moving the series back to its former slot will drum up some interest.
The time slot change is effective immediately, meaning the next fresh episode will air Monday, July 24, at 8 p.m.
Claim to Fame, which has been airing in the 8 p.m. slot, will move to 10 p.m., following The Bachelorette.
