No one knows how to offend people like Piers Morgan, and he was at it again in the wake of Sunday night's shooting in Las Vegas, which killed dozens and injured hundreds. Morgan, who has appeared on Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice and the failed Piers Morgan Live on CNN, chose, inexplicably, to speak to singer Mariah Carey about the incident on a Good Morning Britain segment. The misplaced and awkward interview was panned by viewers, who thought it inappropriate, tasteless and insensitive.

Outspoken journalist Piers Morgan has suggested it might be time to take Donald Trump seriously in the wake of Tuesday’s terror attacks in Belgium. The former host of CNN’s “Piers Morgan Live,” who just months ago slammed Trump for his proposed Muslim ban, penned an Op-Ed for the U.K.’s Daily Mail urging readers to consider the Republican frontrunner’s position on global terror. “Here is one man who definitely has a plan to deal with Isis terrorism. Several plans in fact,” Morgan writes. “The problem is that people don’t like them. Well, a lot of people don’t anyway.

Many Brits were greeted with the presence of Piers Morgan on their televisions this morning (April 13), as he made his Good Morning Britain co-hosting debut.
Filling in for Ben Shepherd for a week, he began the day by noting that Susanna Reid "looked like a giant, glowing daffodil" in her yellow dress.
During his first day he also interviewed Labour's shadow chancellor Ed Balls, referring to him as Darth Vader and telling him that he is "allowed to laugh".
He also showed his cheeky side. After Reid commented that Zac Efron is the "wrong age bracket" for her, he replied: "That's not what I've heard".
Morgan didn't appear to batter an eyelid when guest Alain Robert dropped an F-bomb, leaving Reid to apologise for the bad language.
Later in the show, he noted that Gmb was the number five trending item in Britain, before adding: "Not sure it's for the right reasons,...

It appears Piers Morgan's advice to CNN didn't go over too well at the cable news network. In a statement, first reported by Politico, a CNN spokesperson pushed back against a column the former Piers Morgan Live host penned for the latest issue of The Hollywood Reporter, specifically Morgan's suggestion that his talk show could've used a better lead-in than Anderson Cooper's AC 360. “For the 2½ years that AC 360 served as the lead-in to Piers Morgan’s program on CNN, it always delivered a higher rating than Piers’ program. Piers Morgan ended the final moments of his CNN show, "Piers Morgan Live," with a return to an issue close to his heart: gun control. Although most of the final broadcast on Friday (March 28) focused on the missing Malaysian flight 370, a few minutes at the very end made it clear that Morgan hasn't changed his mind about his gun views.
Check out his closing statement below:
I assumed that after 70 people were shot in a movie theater, and then, just a few months later, 20 first-graders were murdered with an assault rifle in an elementary school, the absurd gun laws in this country would change. But nothing has happened. The gun lobby in America, led by the NRA, has bullied this nation's politicians into cowardly, supine silence. Even when 20 young children are blown away in their classrooms. This is a shameful situation that has made me very angry. So angry, in fact,...

As the Mystery of Missing Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 mystery dragged on, Fox News Channel continued its hold on primetime Thursday in the news demo (391,000) with CNN a competitive No. 2 (321,000) followed, not closely, by MSNBC (166,000) and Hln (128,000). Piers Morgan Live, hosted by possible Morgan replacement Bill Weir (373,000), was the only CNN program to best Fnc — Megyn Kelly (353,000) in the demo. But CNN took a tumble at 10 Pm when the network switched from missing-plane coverage to docu-series Chicagoland (172,000). Fnc’s Hannity clobbered it (331,000). Earlier in the evening, CNN’s Erin Burnett (347,000) came within 9,000 demo viewers of Fnc’s Greta Van Susteren (356,000), after which Fnc’s Bill O’Reilly (486,000) widened the lead, over CNN’s Anderson Cooper (420,000). In total viewers, Fnc (2.140 million) more than doubled CNN’s primetime average (883,000), followed by MSNBC (742,000) and Hln (315,000). The networks did not have much to report on the missing plane front that day — and yet so much happened.

As missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 rubberneckers begin to fall away, owing to lack of substantial new developments, Fox News Channel recovered the top spot yesterday in total day and from 7-11 Pm, aka extended primetime, in both overall audience and the news demo. It’s the first time in days that Fnc has dominated extended primetime in both metrics, as CNN enjoyed big ratings boost with the missing-plane story. That said, CNN remains far more competitive than calendar year to date – at 7 Pm, for instance, Erin Burnett OutFront came in less than 20,000 demo viewers behind Fnc’s On The Record With Greta Van Susteren (248,000 and 267,000, respectively). And, Piers Morgan Live, hosted by Bill Weir, clocked 379,000 demo viewers, which is a respectable retention of Anderson Cooper’s 383,000. With wall-to-wall coverage of the missing Malaysia Airlines flight 370, CNN's Outfront with Erin Burnett and Piers Morgan Live had similarly rare victories over their respective Fox competition.

The end date for "Piers Morgan Live" has been set by CNN, as has their plan for the series' time slot once Morgan takes his leave.
The news and politics talk show will air its last episode on Friday, March 28, after which a laundry list of familiar CNN names will take a spin behind the host's desk before the network announces a permanent replacement.
CNN's 9 p.m. hour will see multiple temporary fill-ins, including Don Lemon, Jake Tapper, Michael Smerconish and Bill Weir. Weir, an anchor and chief innovation correspondent, will also sub for Morgan next week while the outgoing host is on vacation.
Though he's losing his show, Morgan has stated that he'd like to continue to do "big" interviews for the network, telling The New York Times, "I'd like to do work -- interviews with big celebrities and powerful people -- that is better suited to what I...

Exclusive: Piers Morgan’s last day hosting Piers Morgan Live will be March 28, after which CNN Worldwide chief Jeff Zucker is going to try out Michael Smerconish as well as Jake Tapper, Bill Weir, and Don Lemon in the time slot for a few weeks, a source with knowledge of the situation tells Deadline. We will actually see Weir fill in for Morgan in the time slot first, next week, but it will be just that — he’s filling in on Morgan’s show while Morgan takes a previously scheduled vacation, and he will return for one final week after that. Morgan and Zucker continue to talk about a future role for him at the network, the source said. Morgan struggled for three years to find an audience in the important time slot, taking over for Larry King who’d been a longtime fixture at the network. Morgan was routinely...

Washington, Mar.13: Chelsea Handler recently slammed TV host Piers Morgan saying that he is a terrible interviewer.
The 39-year-old comedian recently appeared on Piers Morgan Live where she bluntly shared her honest opinion of why his CNN show had been canceled, Us Magazine reported.
The American actress told Morgan during the commercial break of her interview that he can't even pay attention for 60 seconds to the guests that are invited on his show.

"Piers Morgan Live" may be going out, but it won't be quietly. That much was assured when Morgan welcomed Chelsea Handler as a guest Tuesday night (March 11).
It took no time at all for Handler to openly mock and ridicule Morgan for his hosting style. "You're a terrible interviewer," she tells him. "Maybe that's why your job is coming to an end."
She didn't end it there, though. When asked what one moment in her life she would change, if given the chance, Handler replies with a smile, "It would be spending this hour differently. Time to book Morgan on "Chelsea Lately" for a followup chat.

Never say that Chelsea Handler doesn't tell it like it is. The comedian called out CNN host Piers Morgan on his show, Piers Morgan Live, for not paying attention to her during an interview. After Piers tweeted during a commercial break, Chelsea launched into him once the show returned, saying, "You can't even pay attention for 60 seconds. You're a terrible interviewer." Piers responded by saying that Chelsea wasn't "keeping [his] attention," which really set Chelsea off on the importance of being gracious to your guests on a talk show. (Chelsea would know something about having a talk show as Chelsea Lately has been running on E! since 2007.) Chelsea ended the conversation with a final jab about Piers's show recently getting canceled, saying, "Maybe that's why your job is coming to an end." It doesn't appear that Piers and Chelsea have that much bad blood between them as Piers tweeted after the show,...

Chelsea Handler was a guest on Piers Morgan Live Monday night when she ripped into the host for his poor skills as an interviewer.
Chelsea Handler Slams Piers Morgan
During a commercial break, Piers Morgan apparently couldn’t be bothered to chat with Handler, who was on the show to promote her new book, Uganda Be Kidding Me. When Morgan asked her what her day-to-day looked like, Handler said, “Well, I have to go here and tolerate this nonsense.”
Changing the subject, Morgan told Handler, “You tweet very amusingly,” to which she replied, “I wish you did.”
“In the middle of a commercial break [you were tweeting]. I want your viewers to know,” Handler continued. “I mean, they must know, because they’re probably following you on Twitter. You can't even pay attention for 60 seconds. You're a terrible interviewer.”
Morgan, cutting in to defend himself, said, "Well, you just weren't keeping my attention.

Chelsea Handler just wants a little R-e-s-p-e-c-t. Handler appeared on “Piers Morgan Live” Monday to promote her new book “Uganda Be Kidding Me” and talked about the pressures that come with being the only female talk show host in late night. Also read: Chelsea Handler Slams New York Times’ Bill Carter for Sexism: I'm Not a ‘Parenthetical’ “There have been so many times in the press where I have been marginalized,” Handler said. “I don't want to scream and yell about everything. I don't want to be a squeaky wheel, I just want to be respected for what I do.

Ellen DeGeneres called up Big Mama’s and Papa’s Pizzeria on Sunday night to order a number of pizzas to feed the star-studded audience at the Academy Awards. Helping her hand out the pizzas was Big Mama’s and Papa’s owner Edgar Martirosyan.
Edgar Martirosyan Delivers Pizza To The Oscars
Martirosyan had no idea that he was about to be on live TV when he arrived at the Dolby Theater on Sunday night. He’d been told over the phone that the pizzas were for some writers. Before Martirosyan knew it, DeGeneres was escorting him out towards the Oscars stage.
“They told me I’m going to deliver pizzas for writers, and then when I went there, Ellen came out and told me, ‘Just follow me,’” Martirosyan told the New York Daily News. “When I was going, I realized I’m on the stage, and I just went.

Piers Morgan is not happy. But it has nothing to do with the fact that CNN is canceling his primetime show, Piers Morgan Live. Rather, the veteran British journalist is angry over a report that claims he didn't treat his staff very well. "Hi @NYDailyNews - found any CNN make-up artists I was ever rude to yet? Or you going to admit you just invented that garbage?" Morgan tweeted regarding a story the paper pubbed on Tuesday morning. The New York Daily News quotes a source as saying that Morgan "was always such an a------ to people working for him," adding, "The makeup girls suffered the worst — he was rude and belligerent...The general feeling is Morgan didn't show any...

Controversial British TV star Piers Morgan has been sensationally axed from his flagship CNN interview show. CNN’s vice president of communications confirmed the growing online rumours. A statement read: ”CNN confirms that ‘Piers Morgan Live’ is ending, the date of the final program is still to be determined.” Morgan arrived to CNN amid fanfare three years ago. Replacing the legendary Larry King was a huge placement, much was expected of the sharp-tongued Brit in the ratings battle. However, despite securing some high profile interviews and notable exclusives, viewing figures have been consistently disappointing for ‘Piers Morgan Live’. Morgan has become renowned for his battle with the gun lobby. His campaign to [ Read More ]

Piers Morgan maintained a sense of humour on Twitter today (February 24), despite much mocking about the axing of his CNN series.
The broadcaster's dire ratings meant that CNN had to pull the plug on his Piers Morgan Live series. It was extra-humiliating for Morgan, who has frequently crowed on Twitter about his global audience during Twitter spats with fellow celebs.
Morgan's first tweet this morning proved that he was not going to let the news cramp his usual cocky style, posting a video for Monty Python's Life of Brian track 'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life':
Morning everyone! > http://t.co/N1Qgb7nJrz ps. I blame Kevin Pietersen.

Morgan and his close friend, former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen, exchanged jokey tweets about his dismissal, comparing the decision to the sports star's axe from the England cricket team. Morgan has been relentless in his...

He’s become one of the most polarizing figures on cable television as of late and it seems Piers Morgan's time on CNN is coming to a close.
The English media personality explained to the New York times that his “Piers Morgan Live” program won’t continue much longer.
Morgan noted, “It’s been a painful period and lately we have taken a bath in the ratings. Look, I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarizing, and there is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it.”
That being said, Piers hinted that he may take up a new gig at the network- “I think I can credibly do news and the ratings reflect that, but it is not really the show that I set out to do. There are all...

CNN's prime-time talk show Piers Morgan Live is coming to an end, the news channel said Sunday. Morgan, who three years ago succeeded Larry King in the 9 p.m. Est time slot, was drawing lackluster ratings. In contrast, King had a 25-year run on CNN. The airdate for Morgan's last show has yet to be determined, CNN said in a statement. Morgan is a former U.K. tabloid editor who reinvented himself as a TV personality with stints as a judge on "Britain's Got Talent" and its U.S. spinoff, NBC's America's Got Talent, and as a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice.

Piers Morgan is out of a job. Three years after the journalist and TV personality took over for Larry King with his own nightly primetime show, CNN has decided to cancel Piers Morgan Live, the New York Times confirmed late Sunday, Feb. 23. Highly opinionated and, well, British, Morgan, 48, struck many as an odd choice to headline an American news program, and the show struggled mightily in its ratings, losing to rivals Fox News and MSNBC.
