When the soldiers are firing at the mine, several do not have their rifles touching their shoulders but an inch or two away. This indicates they are not firing real rounds but either blanks or gas charges as there is no kick to the rifle. A trained shooter would plant the butt of the stock into their shoulder so that the rifle doesn't slam into their shoulder, which would hurt accuracy in shooting.
