The second season of this outstanding series comes to an end, not with a bang, but in a reflective mood. The theme of the last chapter seems to be "coming to terms", thus settling issues that were created as the season went along.

For the last episode, Dan Attias was called to direct. He directed two of the present season's chapters and one in 2009. The writing credits shows Dmitry Lipkin, the creator of "Hung", who has been also involved in the success of the program, as one of the four writers. The others are Eduardo Machado, could he be the New York based playwright?, Julia Brownell and Brett Leonard.

Tanya comes to her senses and tries to make amends, not only to Frances, a woman who is 'burned' by the pimp's own greed. Ray finds out in an unexpected way he is still in love with his former wife Jessica. Ronnie, having been humiliated by Jess in the awards ceremony calls an old flame, Mindy to rescue him, as his marriage to Jessica is almost over. Lenore is in her usual foul mood because she sees Ray slip away from her influence. Damon seems to find a true friend in Tanya, whom he wants to be his mentor. Mike, the coach, decides to mend his relationship with Frances.

The beauty of "Hung" lies in the ensemble work by all the regulars. We are given a final chapter that is a bit sentimental, perhaps, but which shows positive attitude from all the characters. Thomas Jane and Jane Adams are the best excuse to follow these people. Anne Heche, Roberta Creskoff, Gregg Henry, Roxanne Hart, Charlie Saxton and Sianoa Smit-McPhee brought out the best in the people they were assigned to play.

The ending of this show indicates a third season will be forthcoming.
