Getting interesting!

I'm not going to pretend to know anything about bomb disposal (absolutely no experience in that area) or the army (I'm a desk bod) so no haters from the 'this wouldn't happen' brigade, please!

Three episodes in, it's been a slow burn (big bombs aside) but I'm enjoying this.

Isn't that what tv is for?

I'd like it more if the itv hub would let you pause without having to go back to the start then watch ten minutes of adverts, again, but this is what you get on an ad channel.

I've set the set top to record, so I can skip through it all now.

I'm hoping the next few episodes will be a good watch (without the annoying itv hub nonsense).

Pretty good.

Lana is still grieving with Nut's death, she finds comfort with Karl.

I thought this was a decent watch, I'm still struggling to fully invest in it, and I don't quite know why, it just feels as if something is missing,

I thought the opening was very good, dramatic viewing, I also enjoyed the ending, the main body of it felt quite padded out.

Vicky McClure is excellent once again, some of the acting elsewhere is perhaps a little wooden in places.

I spotted a definite few jibes towards the current political regime.

It's a good watch, I was just expecting this to be a lot better, 6/10.

Starting to improve

After 3 episodes I feel it is definitely ramping up and it's definitely starting to fill the hole that Line of Duty left behind. I could watch Vicky McClure all day I think she's one of Britain's best actresses and Warren Brown, Mark Stanley, Cal MacAninch and Kerry Goldiman are fabulous too. There will always be writing a comment and rating it 1* in a desperate attempt to get noticed.

Episode 1.3

The second episode finished with a tense moment. A countdown as Lana tries to defuse a bomb inside a mosque.

A far right group called the Crusaders claim responsibility for the bomb in the mosque.

It is seen as revenge for the attack on the Westhaven Estate that killed Nutkins. The one apparently blamed on Islamists.

Worse for Lana, her own brother demonstrates anti Islamic tendencies. There are a few in her bomb squad with similar views.

Lana questions just how these groups are getting the military grade explosives. It has all the hallmarks of being handled by a professional such as someone in bomb disposal. People in the inside.

By this point, the quality of the writing has declined rather a lot from the opening episode. It is lazy tropes, characters are caricatures and I kind of figured who this inside person is already.
