John Travolta and Kirstie Alley are doing it again: The "Look Who's Talking" co-stars and longtime friends are set to play lovers in an episode of Alley's upcoming TV Land sitcom "Kirstie."
Travolta has been booked for a single episode in the role of a stagehand who has a one night stand with the star (Alley) of a Broadway show and then won't leave her alone.
"I'm excited about working with Kirstie again, in addition to such terrific talent on the show," Travolta said in a statement. "It's always a treat to be surrounded by people you respect so much both personally and professionally."
In addition to collaborating on three "Look Who's Talking" films, Travolta also guest starred on Alley's Showtime comedy "Fat Actress" and appeared on her short-lived reality series "Kirstie Alley's Big Life."
Consider the "Kirstie" plotline a playful spin on their real life relationship. Although they've never been romantically linked,...

When Kirstie Alley stepped into the lead female spot on the hit sitcom Cheers, her fearless, bawdy, neurotic energy thwarted all predictions that she'd never fill Shelley Long's shoes. She even earned an Emmy. Since then, Alley has continued to catch the world off guard by segueing into feature films, both arty and mainstream (Deconstructing Harry, the Look Who's Talking movies), headlining popular post-Cheers series Veronica's Closet and making a name for herself as one of the most unapologetic of Scientology's brethren. Then, when her weight ballooned at age 53, she used her indomitable spirit to turn her bathroom-scale struggles into a new branch of her career: She's been a Jenny Craig spokesperson; invented her own weight-loss program, Organic Liaison; starred in a semiautobiographical Showtime sitcom, Fat Actress; and to show what it's like to be an overweight celebrity single mom of two teenagers — William True and Lillie Price...

"I'm actually quite shocked at the success I've had with Bollywood aerobics. I never expected it to take off as well as it has," says Rahul Nath, a Hollywood-based actor and professional Bollywood dancer, who is teaching a new form of exercise that combines the latest moves from Bollywood cinema with an intense cardiovascular workout. Though he now teaches his Bollywood aerobics at four 24 Hour Fitness centers in the Los Angeles area, Nath introduced the concept last summer at Heartbeat House, a dance studio in Glendale, Calif., where he still teaches Bollywood aerobics as well as dance technique classes in the Bollywood style. An informal term for the Hindi-language film industry of Mumbai, India (formerly Bombay), "Bollywood" refers to those lavish Indian movie musicals that do much of their storytelling through high-energy music and dance sequences. Though Bollywood choreography incorporates contemporary hip-hop and jazz-funk moves, the dancing is firmly grounded in India's traditional dance forms,...

If you were under the impression that A&E's new reality series Kirstie Alley's Big Life would chronicle its star's extraordinary efforts to shed a hundred pounds while simultaneously launching her Organic Liaison weight loss plan, Movieline regretfully informs you that you were wrong. The series actually documents a few random plots pulled from Kirstie's Howard Hughes-ian day-to-day life, only instead of watching as she stacks that hundredth empty milk bottle in her projector room, cameras follow Kirstie as she berates her staff, pathologically obsesses over her weight and counts the pug-sized rats she rescues from the walls of her home. After the jump, Movieline adds up the fat content from last night's episodes of the series that should have been titled Kirstie Alley's Claustrophobic Life Inside a Lemur-Infested Mansion.

Kirstie Alley is defending her new weight loss line one day after "The Today Show" ran a segment that suggested her new diet program is connected to the Church of Scientology -- of which Kirstie is a member. Kirstie spoke about her company Organic Liason on Wednesday, saying, "That I would need to clarify or defend the intentions or affiliations of my LLC business corporation in the year 2010 is indicative of the intolerances that we as a country still need to overcome." She went on to say, "However, after 'The Today Show' brought fringe bigotry and intolerance into the forefront of national media, I feel compelled to clarify two issues. "The first issue is there was a claim made that my product is a front for Scientology. This is not true. Organic Liason is its own LLC and is not affiliated with the Church of Scientology or the World Institute of Scientology.
