Eli Roth’s Borderlands will finally hit theaters this August, almost nine years after its announcement. The film, based on the critically acclaimed video game franchise of the same name, underwent several script changes and production delays. The Cate Blanchett and Kevin Hart starrer’s trailer was a mixed bag.
Moreover, fans of the game franchise are skeptical of the big screen medium as it may not have the time to establish different storylines starting from the 2009 game.

A popular suggestion among the video game fanbase was to make Borderlands into an animated series. This animated version would be a much better way to bring the world-building, numerous characters, and their complex interconnected storylines onto the screen.

Saying Phil Spencer is one of the most disliked people in the gaming community wouldn’t be too much of a stretch currently. Xbox’s decision to shut down multiple beloved studios in a single day, has brought out the wrath of consumers from all corners of the community.
Tango Gameworks, one of the affected studios, was especially beloved by many gamers, as some of its staff were revered creatives in the industry. As players discover more about the faces behind Tango, their anger for Microsoft’s gaming brand only grows.
Xbox Lost Talented Creatives with Tango’s Closure
Phil Spencer isn’t winning any favors as gamers look at Tango’s staff’s credentials.
It was a sad day for many when an e-mail announcement from Xbox head Matt Booty was sent out to a ton of studio staff, stating that Tango Gameworks, Arkane Austin, and Alpha Dog Games (Mighty Doom) would be closed.

Creating video games like Helldivers 2 and Call of Duty is no easy feat. Most games require huge amounts of code written into it. And trivial details like reflections in the mirror, and bushes in the field do not affect the gameplay much but eat away a lot of time from the developers.
So, the developers have found ways to work around these time-consuming acts by inventing shortcuts. The final results are hardly discernible in the game and everybody is happy. We have prepared a list of 9 popular gaming tricks game developers play on us. Maybe you will be able to find one or more of these in the games you play.
9. Games Like Call of Duty and Helldivers 2 Have Unit Slotting Not all enemies will shoot or attack you at once.
When you are surrounded by groups of enemies, you will usually find that not all of them are attacking you.

Stellar Blade is right around the corner, and we have been getting a steady stream of information from the company and the CEO himself regarding the game. Anyone familiar with Hyung-Tae Kim’s work is aware of how the characters are going to look—beautifully drawn with a touch of exaggeration for that added oomph.
Given the build of the game’s protagonist, Eve, it was inevitable to get some sort of fan service in the game. As a PlayStation exclusive, it won’t be possible to mod in certain *ahem* risque suits, but the developers are happy to oblige. But be warned: being that down bad comes with its consequences.

Ninja Theory’s 2017 video game Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice was well-received by the fans but the game’s excellent story, tense atmosphere, and intriguing puzzles weren’t the only elements that made the game special. Ninja Theory’s co-founder has explained in the past that the game was built on a very tight budget and a very small team.

Ninja Theory made a name for itself in the late 2000s and early 2010s with games like Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and DmC: Devil May Cry. Things took a turn after the failure of their canceled game Razer, and the company decided to create an “independent Aaa” game, which later turned out to be Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. As Helldivers 2 grows in popularity with each update, one thing that remains unchanged is the number of platforms this game is on. This game started life as a PlayStation 5 exclusive that was also released on PC. Ever since its launch, the game has seen significant growth in its number of players. But the developer Arrowhead Game Studio and publisher Sony have decided they would rather keep it away from Xbox.
The popularity of this game is such that fans who own Xbox consoles have been constantly asking the developers to bring it to their consoles too. The thing is that even if the developers want, they cannot bring this game to Xbox because only Sony can make a final call on that. Hence, Xbox owners are now looking at an exclusive of their own to fill this hole: Hellblade 2. And rumors suggest it might remain exclusive.

There are a lot of ways and factors that are used to determine the success of something in the gaming industry. While one can argue looking at the popularity of the game should be enough, how things usually work is by looking at the amount of sales a particular title has sold.
Such is the case with the recent Dragon’s Dogma 2 title, which was able to overtake the record of the director’s past title, Devil May Cry 5, without any effort. While the comparison should not hold any real meaning behind itself, it shows how well the recent game is being received by the audience.

Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma 2 is out and is giving players a great time playing as ‘Arisen’ and employing ‘Pawns.’ Just like its predecessor, Dragon’s Dogma 2 includes its share of light-hearted as well as tongue-in-cheek moments. However, this game seems to be more on the serious side of the developer’s work.

Many fans of the developer have agreed a number of times that they consider Bloodborne to be the best soulslike game FromSoftware has ever developed. There are a lot of things that made that game special. One of them can be considered to have incredible combat mechanics. Another can be its mind-blowing, creepy setting.

Capcom’s recently launched title, Dragon’s Dogma 2, is gathering all kinds of controversy and acclaim. But one thing remains as interesting as ever: this game’s incredibly well-designed gameplay mechanics. Fans who are playing Dragon’s Dogma 2 are finding it hard to put down.
And it makes sense too. Capcom might be a bit silly with its microtransactions, but it knows how to develop exciting games. An open-world game with excellent visuals thanks to that ever-popular Re engine, and finally, those mind-blowing action sequences. This game has it all, and its fans have a classic Capcom action game to thank for it.

Released in 2012 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the original Dragon’s Dogma was an action roleplaying game tailored to a very specific audience. Brutally difficult, the gameplay centered on open-world exploration with a survivalist touch, wherein players and their Npc (non-player character) companions must trek through a “persistent” world that — at the time — felt organic as shifting day-and-night cycles and changing weather conditions imbued its somewhat bland fantasy world with a sense of life. Heavy on customization options and a general “fend for yourself” attitude toward the player, it merged many...

Unlike most genre enthusiasts, horror fans face a unique challenge when trying to share their favorite media with friends and family. While almost anyone can handle watching a rom-com or a space opera (even if they don’t necessarily enjoy the experience), you can get into serious trouble by recommending Martyrs or Cannibal Holocaust to someone who isn’t yet versed in horror.
This is even more challenging when it comes to video games, with the added level of interactivity making scares more intense and raising the odds of alienating a loved one with an excessively disturbing recommendation. With this in mind, we’ve decided to come up with a list highlighting six gateway horror games that you can share with friends, co-workers and even children without risking life-long trauma!
As usual, don’t forget to comment below with your own non-m-rated horror favorites if you think we missed a particularly fun one.

The game was announced back in 2022 with the codename Project Eve, and there is not much more information about the game. In the latest State of Play, the release date was finally revealed. The file size of Stellar Blade was revealed in a leak and is a weird number for this kind of game.
Is Stellar Blade Not Large Enough? Stellar Blade file size will be only 35 Gb according to leaks.
As a new third-person action game, Stellar Blade looks very promising, with spectacular gameplay that will have hack and slash fans very happy with the combat style that this title has.

When Netflix released its first-ever Engagement Report — a revealing look into what (and how much) people are watching within the streamer’s film and TV catalog — live-action adult and young adult series like Ginny and Georgia, The Night Agent and Fubar were among those that topped nearly a billion hours watched.
But between January and June 2023, seasons of animated originals Sonic Prime, Gabby’s Dollhouse, Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse, My Dad the Bounty Hunter and The Creature Cases also ranked among the 500 most-viewed series (out of 18,000), as did acquisitions like Paw Patrol, CoComelon, Pj Masks and Peppa Pig.
And while much of the streamer’s most popular animated content came from its kids and family programming, the report reveals new and previously released seasons of adult animation and anime entries like Castlevania, Love, Death & Robots, Bee and Puppycat, Disenchantment, Big Mouth, and Skull Island were among the top 22 percent of watched titles.

Some of the movies we talk about have opinions fueled by nostalgia if they are good or reputation if they are bad. Of course, everything is subjective when speaking about how you feel about a movie. It can be tied to events in your life that make you happy or sad. You can enjoy it on the strength of an actor, writer, or director you enjoy being involved or hate it for those exact reasons on a creator not being your favorite. Some things are irrefutable though such as box office or critical appraisal. Van Helsing (watch it Here) was the culmination of what Stephen Sommers had been working towards with tales of fantasy like The Adventures of Huck Finn...

Hideki Kamiya has mentioned his original plans for a much bigger Bayonetta saga – and concedes that the series will likely continue without him.
In a further sign that the famously unfiltered designer Hideki Kamiya may have left PlatinumGames under a cloud, he’s once again taken to YouTube – this time to talk about his much-loved Bayonetta series.
To date, we’ve seen three mainline entries in the Devil May Cry-esque Bayonetta series, which began in 2009, as well as this year’s somewhat unexpected spin-off, Bayonetta Origins: Cereza And The Lost Demon.
In his latest video, Kamiya has revealed that his plans for Bayonetta – a series he’s been heavily involved with from the beginning – were once much bigger, perhaps stretching to as many as nine games. Whatever his ideas were for that ‘saga’, however, are unlikely to ever see the light of day now that he’s left the studio he once co-founded.

If it ain’t broke, the saying goes, don’t fix it. That makes Square Enix’s job with the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth an interesting one. After all, the developer broke Final Fantasy VII on purpose with Remake and now it’s begun the daunting task of not just fixing it, but crafting new bespoke parts that make for a good fit with the original game.
Granted, Square has a lot more freedom to do so, thanks to a barn-burner of a canon-busting climax for Ffvii Remake, but if anything, that means that the job is even more precarious. I was able to play a demo of Ffvii Rebirth at a closed-door event, and having put a bit of time into it, it’s at least obvious that Square is up to the task and taking some big swings. Whether those swings will connect with the audience in...

Capcom continues to rake in the sales for the Resident Evil series. In the company’s latest financial report, not only have the recent three remakes added to their totals from this past summer, but the series as a whole now stands at 150 million units sold. This makes the Resident Evil series Capcom’s best-selling property.
The report delves into the second quarter for Capcom’s Fiscal Year 2023, covering May through August. The report notes that Capcom’s remakes of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 have now sold 13.3 million, 8 million and 5.4 million in sales, respectively. This is obviously up from the totals from June, which Capcom had reflected in their list of million-selling “Platinum Titles” back in August.
For those curious, the remake of Resident Evil 2 is not (yet) the best-selling Capcom game, as Monster Hunter: World still remains on top. Meanwhile, the Devil May Cry...

Rhythm games, as a rule, have largely been ignored over the past decade. Though Guitar Hero made a splash in the early 2000s and spawned a wave of me-too music titles that persisted throughout the late 2010s, the genre has all but evaporated. Long-running franchises like Dance Dance Revolution and Beatmania are now left largely relegated to Japan where they originated. While there are glimpses of the rhythm game renaissance every once in a blue moon, music-first releases have essentially become extinct.
