Tom Flannery calls in the Police, his wife is at the bottom of the stairs dead, on the case is Gaynor Jenkins.
This is essentially The case of Author Michael Paterson brought to life, a successful man who was arrested when his wife was found at the foot of the stairs at their family home.
It was a smart move in Leo's absence to pitch Harry and Nikki against one another, usually opposing views are from external sources, interesting here to have them happening under one roof. The case itself is intriguing, Tom isn't the most pleasant of people, his guilt seems overwhelming, but of course there are always two sides.
John Lynch is terrific as Tom, he's an incredibly charismatic actor, he portrays Tom in such a way that you don't know if he's quite sincere.
Excellent, 9/10.
