The Royal World Premiere for 'Skyfall' (2012) was screened live on the movie's Official Facebook page as well as on the Official 007 YouTube channel between 5pm and 8pm on 23rd October 2012.
The producers of 'Skyfall'(2012), Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said in a prepared joint statement: "We are thrilled His Royal Highness Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall have agreed to attend the World Premiere of our latest James Bond film, and are pleased this event will help raise funds to support The Prince's chosen charities."
20th Royal James Bond Premiere in the history of the official James Bond film franchise. The first was for 'Goldfinger' (1964) which was about 48 years earlier. The 'Skyfall' (2012) launch also celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the official James Bond film franchise which had started with 'Dr. No' in 1962.
Producer Barbara Broccoli said at the World Royal Premiere of 'Skyfall' that the film was "classic Bond but with a contemporary feel" adding "we wanted to make a film for the 50th anniversary for the fans and we wanted to make the best Bond ever - we tried real hard so I hope the audiences like at as much as we enjoyed making it."
