The late Oscar-winning thespian Christopher Plummer delivers his final performance in animated feature “Heroes of the Golden Masks,” also starring Patton Oswalt and Ron Perlman.
Inspired by the ancient bronze masks of Sanxingdui discovered on the archaeological site of Guanghan in the Sichuan Province in the late 1980s, the film centers on Charlie, a wise-cracking, homeless, American orphan who is magically transported to the ancient Chinese kingdom of Sanxingdui, where a colorful team of superheroes need his help to defend the city from a brutal conqueror. Charlie joins the heroes and secretly schemes to steal the priceless golden masks that grant them their powers.
Produced by CG Bros Entertainment, Arcana Studios and Golden Image Cultural Communication Inc, “Heroes of the Golden Masks” also features the voices of Natasha Liu Bordizzo (“Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon : Sword of Destiny”), Byron Mann (“Skyscraper”), Osric Chau (“2012”), Kiefer O’Reilly (“The Mighty Ducks : Game Changers”) and director Sean O’Reilly.

Corrective Measures, an odd mix of action, prison, science fiction and monster movies, opens with a parking garage execution gone wrong as a band of goons led by what appears to be a werewolf are wiped out by the vigilante known as Payback just so he can have the pleasure of killing their intended victim himself before the cops arrest him. He’s sent to prison, but not just any prison, he’s going to San Tiburon which seems to be this world’s answer to the MCU’s Vault. Only it’s run by a private company and Warden Devlin is as corrupt as any of the inmates.

Splicing X-Men and Suicide Squad shouldn’t really work, but director Sean Patrick O’Reilly adds a subtle layer of social commentary to the comic-book schlock in a distinctive debut
Based on Grant Chastain’s graphic novel, Corrective Measures is an unabashed splicing of X-Men and Suicide Squad. Something so derivative really shouldn’t work, yet its setting, within the confines of San Tiburon – a maximum-security prison for inmates with superpowers – corrals the story into something close to a brassily characterised ensemble drama, while restricting the action to occasional raucous outbreaks. Presumably done for budget reasons, it winds up a more distinctive film than it otherwise might be, and is presided over by Michael Rooker – inexplicably wearing a straw boater throughout – as the arrogant and conniving Warden Devlin.
We enter San Tiburon along with Payback (Dan Payne), a Bible-bashing meathead whose mission in life is hunting down “enhanced humans”; superpowered genetic...

Jesse V. Johnson may well be the best director of action films working today. And his latest film, White Elephant may be Bruce Willis’s best chance to add another memorable to his list of credits. Or at least one that’s memorable for the right reasons.
Gabriel Tancredi is an enforcer working for Arnold (Bruce Willis). They have Carlos deal with a rival who won’t negotiate. He handles the matter, but a pair of cops, Vanessa and her partner see him making his escape. Arnold gives Gabriel and Carlos forty-eight hours to take care of that problem. And they get half the job done quickly and easily. But finishing it off may be more work than they expected.

Fortress: Sniper’s Eye isn’t the only new Bruce Willis film to come out recently. Corrective Measures, an odd mix of action, prison, science fiction and monster movies makes its debut as well. The reason you may not have heard of it is, that it’s another Tubi Original. Short of working for Rene Perez, that’s the most pathetic way for Willis to end his career I can think of.

MastersFX creature shop and Arcana, a comic and graphic novels publisher as well as an animation and live action studio, have signed a new multipicture deal to create and produce genre feature films based on Arcana’s vast library of characters and IP, the companies announced on Monday.
Currently Arcana and MastersFX are in development on “American Wasteland,” the second of their planned joint venture films and based on an Arcana graphic novel property, the companies revealed to TheWrap via email.
“American Wasteland” tells the story of truck driver Cletus McCoy trying to save his mother from a vampire apocalypse. “Cletus will have to truck his way through an emerging nation of bloodthirsty monsters hell-bent on making him supper. Guns, guts, and a boy named Sumbitch are our hero’s only hope,” reads an Arcana plot description.

Michael Rooker and Bruce Willis go toe-to-toe in a new scifi prison thriller called Corrective Measures, an adaptation of Arcana Studio's popular graphic novel of the same name.
Set in the world's most dangerous maximum-security penitentiary, home to the most treacherous criminals, tensions among the inmates and staff heighten, leading to anarchy that engulfs the prison and order is turned upside down.
The Tubi original film is directed by Sean Patrick O'Reilly, owner and operator of Arcana, who also wrote the film.
The majority of filming took place in Vancouver, Canada. However, filming concluded in Atlanta, Georgia, where Bruce Willis filmed all of his scenes in 1-2 days.

On April 29, Bruce Willis’ storied filmography adds another credit with the release of “Fortress: Sniper’s Eye.”
The action-thriller starring Willis, Jesse Metcalfe and Chad Michael Murray is a sequel to 2021’s “Fortress” and is set to be released in select theaters, as well as on digital platforms and VOD. It’s just one of about 10 tough-guy titles still outstanding as Willis’ acting career comes to a close.
The actor’s family announced Wednesday that the superstar will step away from acting after being recently diagnosed with aphasia, a language disorder caused by brain damage the affects a person’s ability to communicate. Willis’ wife Emma Heming Willis and their daughters Mabel and Evelyn, along with his ex-wife Demi Moore and their daughters Rumer, Scout and Tallulah revealed the diagnosis in a statement posted to social media. After “much consideration,” they wrote, Willis made the decision to step away from “the...
