The impossible door
bosporan20 May 2022
Stella shocks Toni with her reaction to being found where she shouldn't be and begins to challenge her confidence in everything she knows.

WIth Irene developing tunnel vision around Jude, Frank begins to plough his own furrow aided and abetted by his new unlikely ally, Byron.

Overall a better picture is developing of what is going on, though many questions remain.

It won't all come together. No genius plot. Evidence is in this episode

I'm being a little unfair in my rating, but that's because in the previous four episodes, I was sure the slow pace was because this was carefully written. I know better now. Multiple characters behave inconsistently here, I'm not going to bother to write them in spoilers. And, the pattern of a character withholding the truth, and bad consequences following, just continues, rather pointlessly. It's getting tiring watching this again and again in every episode. I'm desperately waiting for someone just having an outpouring of honesty. But nobody communicates with each other. I'm not sure if there's anything more to this story than variations of that! In series generally, there's been a move to depend totally on characterization. The audience gets to love actors playing their particular roles. Just that being the only thing to drive the story, doesn't seem to bother many people, nowadays. I thought this show was better, though. What a waste.
