There will be no more spoiled youngsters learning to survive in the wilderness as Netflix has canceled its reality series Snowflake Mountain after just one season. As reported by Deadline, the streamer has decided not to renew the reality series, which took 10 pampered young adults with limited life experience and dumped them in Britain’s Lake District without parental guidance and home comforts. Developed by Fremantle-owned production company Naked, Snowflake Mountain premiered in June 2022. Hosted by survivalists Matt Tate and Joel Graves, the show saw a group of young adults put through their paces at a wilderness retreat, where they learned to stand on their own two feet and earn a $50,000 prize. The series was first announced in 2021 by Netflix UK unscripted commissioners Ben Kelly and Daisy Lilley, who touted the show as something “truly original.” The hope was for Snowflake Mountain to achieve similar success to other Netflix...

Exclusive: Pampered young adults in need of a reality check can breathe a sigh of relief — Netflix has canceled reality series Snowflake Mountain after just one season.
The streaming service has decided against renewing Snowflake Mountain after it failed to hit the heights of other unscripted series, such as Too Hot To Handle.
Season 1 premiered last year and was made by Naked, the Fremantle-owned production company. Fremantle also owns Too Hot to Handle producer Talkback.
Snowflake Mountain took a group of mollycoddled young people into the wilderness of Britain’s Lake District and stripped them of their home comforts. Under the watchful eyes of survivalists Matt Tate and Joel Graves, the group had a chance to win a $50,000 prize.
Netflix UK unscripted commissioners Ben Kelly and Daisy Lilley announced the series in 2021 as part of efforts to increase reality output. They said Snowflake Mountain would offer something “truly original.

Assuming that a reality show is fake and scripted is way too easy these days, and it’s not surprising at all to think that Snowflake Mountain would be any different. After all, how could any parent trick their child into thinking that they’re heading off to a resort when in reality, they’re sending them out to the woods to learn a few valuable life lessons? There’s a particular guilty pleasure felt by those who have worked for nearly everything they have in their lives to watch the spoiled and entitled being made to clean up after themselves now and then.

What is Snowflake Mountain? It’s a television show, of course. Reality television at its finest is the best way to describe this show. However, it’s worth mentioning that this might be painful for parents – and other adults – to watch. Essentially, adult children are sent to a survival camp to put their own adult skills to the test. These adults don’t do much for themselves without giving anything away or spoiling it for you. They’ve been coddled and babied and never bothered to learn essential life skills. It sounds painful, but only if you’re the one who can’t adult.

Stranger Things‘ “demotion” to No. 2 on Nielsen’s U.S. ranking of streaming originals did not last long at all, as the release of Season 4’s final two episodes (totalling nearly four hours in running time!) propelled the Netflix hit back to the top spot.
With all 34 produced episodes now eligible, Stranger Things amassed 5.9 billion minutes viewed for the week of June 27. Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy (aka last week’s champ) in turn slipped to No. 2, with 2.2 billion minutes viewed across 30 total episodes.

“Stranger Things” Season 4 is now Netflix’s second title ever to rack up over one billion hours viewed.
This milestone comes after the July 1 debut of the season’s second volume, consisting of two episodes that run for approximately four hours. The new episodes brought Season 4 up to 1.15 billion hours viewed in total since Volume 1 premiered on May 27.
The first Netflix series to cross the 1 billion mark was the South Korean drama “Squid Game,” which debuted in September 2021. “Squid Game” remains Netflix’s most popular TV title ever with 1.65 billion hours viewed — which the streamer calculates during each title’s first 28 days of availability, after which viewership is no longer counted. “Stranger Things” Season 4 is Netflix’s most popular English-language series ever and second most popular overall. And technically, it still has a chance to beat “Squid Game.” Because of the season’s segmented release, viewership of Volume 2 during the...

It’s amazing that networks can come up with new shows so often. What is left to discuss, after all? Netflix, however, has a thought; let’s take a bunch of adults who still behave like kids because they think the world revolves around them and they’ve not yet learned how to grow up and let’s make them miserable in the real world. It’s called Snowflake Mountain, and it might be just what you were looking for – unless you, too, are a liberal snowflake who cannot handle it. Are you? 1.
