Peacock’s throwback murder-mystery show Poker Face had a good premiere week, slotting in third place among original streaming series in Nielsen’s rankings. Ginny & Georgia spent its fourth straight week as the top series but lost its No. 1 overall title to Netflix’s movie You People.
Poker Face, whose first four episodes debuted Jan. 26, had 547 million minutes of viewing time for the week of Jan. 23-29. That ranks as the third best weekly showing ever for a Peacock original series on the Nielsen streaming charts; The Best Man: The Final Chapters had two weeks over 700 million minutes in December.
Ginny & Georgia drew 1.3 billion minutes of watch time for the week, marking its fourth consecutive frame as the most streamed series. The Netflix mother-daughter drama has rolled up 8.35 billion minutes of viewing since its second season premiered in early January. That ’90s Show (963 million minutes) came in second...

Kenya Barris’ “You People” opened to promising figures over the weekend.
According to Netflix’s figures, the star-studded comedy featuring Jonah Hill, Eddie Murphy, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Lauren London quickly rose in the ranks during the Jan. 23-29 viewing window becoming Netflix’s No. 1 film with 55.65 million hours viewed following its Jan. 27 premiere.
In another take on the classic “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” story, the film follows the ensuing culture clash that takes place when two LA millennials from different backgrounds fall in love and face the ultimate relationship test: meeting the parents. Hill and Barris both wrote the movie.
Also worth noting on the film side, “All Quiet on the Western Front” saw an increase of more than 190 in viewership over the prior week following its nine Academy Award nominations. The German war drama scored 8.17 million hours viewed and was in the top 10 in 33 countries.

“What If…?” serves as the final acting credit for Chadwick Boseman, and fans turned their eyes toward Disney+ following the Episode 2 premiere that centered on T’Challa (Boseman) adventuring through space, according to Nielsen’s latest report on the most-viewed streaming television shows of the week.
Per Nielsen’s report, which was based on viewership from August 16 through August 22, “What If…?” was viewed for 225 million minutes, making it the ninth most-viewed show in that window despite only two episodes of the series being available at the time. It’s likely that the Boseman-centric episode helped the animated Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero series break into Nielsen’s latest streaming report; though MCU titles tend to be ratings drivers, the series premiere did not appear in Nielsen’s report last week.
