A gripping screenplay
jainmohit-248258 July 2023
It's must a watch film..compelled to at back till the end.. might have been more thrilling. Vidyut and other actors acted very well. BGM is also a plus point. Although most of the scenes are very well corrected but at some point of time it feels very much disconnected. Vishal Jethwa is a promising actor. Vidyut needs to bring some humour as well in his acting, always looks serious. Anupam Kher has very less screen presence. All Pakistan part was very thrilling. Storyline is good but screenplay looks losen at manybpoint of times. Vijaya song was very good but lacks the feeling behind it on the screen.

Very tight thriller
pranay_misra14 May 2023
Sankalp reddy does it again, after Ghazi, another beaituful and tout thriller.

Jamval is very nice as well as other cast.

Movie will not let you rest as story will move very fast along with suspense and thrill moments. Few action scenes which are well done and are believable.

Villain of mardaani is here in important role and he aces it.

Movie is very good and is a definite must watch. Reddy sir take a bow.

Setting of 1971 is very good , climax has very nice song, bgm also is food.

Kashmir is very beautifully depicted and you would like to wander around the scenery.

I am not sure of the story if it is based on true events but if yes then simply splendid effort.

IB71:- Praiseworthy Portrayal Of A Massive Little Triumph
vimarshmunsif22 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Not often do you come across patriotically driven movies made with pure intentions and honest acts. Mostly, it is about the extremes at both ends and how we succeed against all odds. IB71 is different on that front. It has its heart and soul at the same place from starting to finish.

What impressed me the most was the crisp editing that led to the run time being only 119 minutes. It doesn't drag or head into any sub plots of sorts. It focuses on the main essence of the movie all through the course of its running.

The movie is based on an inspiring story of how India stopped Pakistan and China from aligning to fight with India on the Eastern front in 1971 by blocking the air space.

This is a movie about a triumph that's little but extremely important in the context of the bigger picture. Such stories need to be told and if told in the right way, it marks for a celebration of sorts.

India had only 10 days to go about it all. Going through the available options, rejecting most of them and finally finding the only way possible was a thinking of a level that only a person of the caliber of Intelligence Bureau could come up with.

This was a confidential mission and had to be done in a way that Pakistan would be caught unaware. How a case study from a friend helped in getting the idea, how the personnel involved in that case study eventually laid the foundation of execution, how the hijack was planned, executed, how the espionage was carried out successfully is all what this movie is about.

It's a brilliant story which ought to be told and celebrated. How 30 agents risk their all to enable India towards a possible triumph in a mission that had to be done in 10 days is shown quite briskly.

There have been references, nuances and instances to show how each party tries to outsmart the other. There's suspicion, there's vengeance, there's conviction, there's ways in which both India and Pakistan tend to show the potential that they have through their tactics.

I quite liked the manner of story telling here. This is a movie which wanted to show this, this and this. This is a movie which showed this, this and this only. No extra fuss, no add-ons etc. Editing is excellent, keeping us glued all through to cherish the accomplishment. Sandeep Francis deserves a lot of accolades for it all.

Direction and writing by Sankalp Reddy is quite good. The movie has its heart at the right place. Story is by Aditya Shastri and it makes for a beautiful cinematic viewing. It was a story based on 1971 hijacking and it deserved a mention for sure.

Dialogues have been written by Sahar Quaze and Junaid Wasi. Surely, some of the dialogues as expected land a punch. Also, there's a tad bit of humour too, which really does add to the flavour of the theme of the movie. I've liked the lyrics of Zikr, Uska Hi Banana and Bawra Mann and thus, to see Junaid Wasi write such beautiful dialogues here doesn't come as a surprise to me.

Just the 2nd Hindi movie but the cinematography by the experienced Gnana Shekar V. S. is top notch, especially the scenes in the aeroplane.

The only loophole or a small drawback would be the improper use of technology by the opposing country in the movie. That bit could have been more clinical.

Rest, the call trapping, listening to call recording, call divert, voice modulation, convincing through preaching about religion etc. Has been shown quite well.

Coming to the performances, Vidyut Jammwal as Dev, an IB agent is brilliant. He deserves and warrants a lot more attention. Vishal Jethwa as Qasim is sheer class. He has nailed the role completely. He impresses big time. Anupam Kher is okay in his role as IB Chief. Suvrat Joshi has screen presence and makes for some emotional moments. He has done really well. The get up and look of Dalip Tahil as Zulfikar Ali Bhutto is beyond words and outstanding. Hobby Dhaliwal plays his part as Army chief of Pakistan with aplomb.

Coming to others, Niharica Raizada shows so much through her eyes and behaviour. She does a terrific job. Rest of the cast has been okay at best. But yes, the one who impressed me the most was one certain Ashwath Bhatt. What a performance! His appearance, dialogue delivery, portrayal of his character and the way he does it all was so convincing and brilliant.

All in all, IB71 is a story that I'm happy to have seen. I'm also impressed in the manner of showcasing it all on the big screen, keeping the viewers glued all through with a terrific manner of storytelling wherein we're shown only what's there to be shown. I would rate it 4/5.

vartikagupta-4898813 May 2023
The movie ib71 is really very good family movie that I did not expected from a vidyut jamwal film (this is my first vidyut jamwal movie)..i went thinking it would be all action movie having lots of stunts, masala, bare body show but to my surprise its a good thriller, tightly packed movie with good story inspired by true events..Its based upon indian operation just like BABY. The movie dont have any song or any extra scenes and the length of movie is only around 2 hour..characters were good acting also good..for a cinema lover this would be a treat to watch.............i will definitely recommend this movie.

Raw and unpolished
sameerlodaya31 May 2023
Sameer lodaya

Very strong subject was presented in a Raw and unpolished version

Vidyut was low on his performance and his prosthetics were also very poor he did not match to this strong character nor any special action moreover anupamji were not explored some strong dialogues were expected from him..vishal was very good

The subject was very strong but the making was very loose,no great thrilling scenes no action no dialogues no goosebumps effect no patriotic feelings no songs the subject is so much thrown on you that you feel bored and heavy.

It was good Sunday afternoon family entertainer if released on ott platform as Vidyut is followed very well on digital platforms.

Absolute thriller
adhikarisavita14 May 2023
Wow. What a well told story. I was pleasantly surprised and loved every bit of the movie. Although its not promoted a lot, i would advice anyone who loves a thriller, to please go and watch this movie. A great storyline. Kadak performances from the entire cast. Thriller from start to finish. Left the theater with a lot of pride for our untold Heroes. The film gives you the patriotic feeling without hyping on it and also with no sloganeering. Vidyut as the main lead was perfect in the role. Anupam Kher, as always, is an actor par excellence. Happy that the director stuck to the plot and didn't stray from it by adding dream sequences or item numbers.

Good but could have been great
tahska19 July 2023
The kind of subject that they had they could have made an awesome movie. I felt that the climax was too short and they spent too much time in plot building which killed the thrill.

Vidyut Jamwal was as usual good in the movie.

Screenplay lacked the punch.

Cinematography was great, i got a good vibe while watching the movie.

Direction was good but the story writer took some wrong decisions and due to which I was felt that the movies ended very quickly. I was expecting that the climax was played a little long with a little more thrill and this could have been one of the best hindi spy thriller movies.

Highly underrated. Worth watching!
aejalzala2 September 2023
Parent's guide: absolutely safe to watch with family, young or old. Not a single uncomfortable scene.

Excellent plot and very well executed. Keeps you on hook almost throughout the length of movie.

Neither beating-on-chest patriotism which looks too dramatic to relate to, nor a wannabe American spy/war related movie which again is not relatable.

Well placed actors however small or big role they are in.

Chase scene on boats in Dal lake to airport tension scenes, all well created.

Feel bad for Vidyut Jamwal who inspite of being such a good actor remains unappreciated in Bollywood still dominated by nepo and nepo-promoting gangs.

Way better than my expectations
Ansango19 July 2023
A finely directed spy thriller with remarkable finesse and restraint, IB71 is a film based on a phenomenal real-life mission executed by our secret services, and after watching this film, it fills you with pride. By not revealing all the cards at once and dumbing down everything by dumping information in the form of narration, the film retains a sense of urgency and suspense. It falters in writing especially in the detailing as a lot of things happen too easily and conveniently in the mission, but despite those hiccups, its tense narrative and brisk pace make the sail smooth. The BGM is nice and Vidyut shows his dramatic chops in this film and passes neatly. IB71 is not a great film but it executes its subject matter skillfully and will leave you with a good 2 hours worth of your time.

India vs. Pakistan spy stories is a genre I can dig into at any time. So I may be overrating it but it's exactly of my type. Plz, make more of these!

irrelevant, and without logic and senseless movie
Just a totally waste of time, as per imbd rating 8.2 i was planned to watch this movie but this movie is made without any sense and logic, indian ib officials deilberately let happen its plane hijacked in order to cease to use indian air space and showed that how they escaped from after getting hijacked, is there any sense or logic is it ?? Totally rubbish. That means aa bail mujhe maar, ya urta tir piche lena, i can't know how the filmmakers make this kind of rubbish movie, a movie should be some logic, some entertainment and some thriller, acutally india will never do this kind of stupidity in past.

Highly engaging espionage thriller!! Jammwal shines bright!!
sanjubhat24 May 2023
Film Review IB71 starring Vidyut Jammwal running in theatres currently #sanjuzzreviews #IB71 #vidyutjammwal #thrillermovie #Espionagethriller IB71 is a espionage action film based on true events that were instrumental in India winning the 1971 war against Pakistan.

With the situation reaching a boiling point in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh), the IB gets information about an attack on India by Pakistan who are supported by China. The defence establishment has only 10 days to prevent it. Won't reveal much as it would spoil the fun.

Rather than being a usual Vidyut Jammwal film with lots of action scenes, this is different, with the focus being primarily on playing mind games to outwit the enemy rather than out and out action. The plan is totally un-guessable with lots of thrills and tense moments that keep you engrossed throughout the length of this 2 hr film.

Jammwal is awesome as the protagonist and so are the rest of the cast who lend valuable support to him. Grt casting!!

Cinematography is just awesome. Shot in Kashmir in the winters when the blanket of white snow covers the length and breadth of the land, it is indeed a visual delight.

All in all a no nonsense film without any unnecessary sub plots or songs to divert focus on the main plot.

It is unfortunate that good films like these are getting very less no. Of screens which will definitely impact it's overall collections.. sad but true. Jammwal is an underated actor who definitely deserves more !!

Comes very close to films like Baby, Holiday, Raazi, Gaazi attack !!

Going with 3.5/5 ... Don't go by critics who have panned the film ... Highly recommended.. go for it... Adios 🙂!!

Interesting story / screenplay but very poor characterisation
Biswas_14 May 2023
IB 71 might remind you of the 2012 film Argo but don't think it's copied from there as this one is a real life story . With war looming on the east front of India, The mission is to prevent enemy jets to reach from west Pakistan to East pakistan by trying to block Indian airspace . How they manage to accomplish this is the main story .

Sankalp Reddy had impressed me with his previous film Ghazi Attack solely because it was soaked with tension and thrills , no matter how unrealistic it may look . IB 71 also is pretty similar.

The plot is riveting . The 1st half is a bit slow but this is the part where the plot building takes place and I really liked the fact the film does not hurry into getting into the main mission straightaway . The 2nd half is where the mission begins and this is where you get the smell of Argo .

The screenplay is fast and gripping . It never lets you get bored one moment especially in the 2nd half. No unnecessary songs , no romantic angles, it's pure plot execution.

However, the characters in this film are very poorly written . Vishal Jethwa has probably the worst and unintentionally funny character which literally made half the theatre audience laugh especially in the 2nd half where he starts behaving like a Baman from Dhamaal . Mind you, he is a negative character but is so poorly written that you barely get scared by his wide eyed angry face . Instead his dialogues in the aircraft are hilarious to hear which is not good . The Pakistani general and president are presented like fools just like any other Bollywood presentation of Pakistani army men. Their accent too is the typical one that Bollywood has given them over the years.

Vidyut does a good job without much action (there are a few action sequences but none where Vidyut showcases his MMA skills). Anupam kher has a limited role just to stand or sit and talk nothing else .

Overall, a good one time watch . It needed good characters to become terrific but it sadly missed this mark .

Thriller with loopholes and one sided logics
adi-kansal18 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The movie starts with a thrilling scene however at every step the Pakistani side is shown to be totally naive and child like.

A lot of loopholes are there in the movie like after the highjacked plane is landed in Pakistan, there is no further mention of the so called hijackers. There is no questioning, no examination from them.

While the Indian gang is in hotel, the electricity gets disconnected and the same is not fixed till the end of the movie.

Just one thing is shown in the movie as to how the Pakistan side is loose on everything and the Indian side is too smart.

Even the picturization is average with no major action / thriller scenes.

5/10.

This Is One Of The Best Thriller Movie After Khudahafiz 2
MehdiRizvi-786714 May 2023
One brave episode of the stories untold of the valent bravery, smartness , sharpness of the Indian armed forces , intelligence, and administration to make us live safely . Stories like this such must be told to make us proud of our finesse .

This movie is the time machine era of the past , and if we start thinking and tell the millinials , they will think of it as a myth. This is 1971. No one has even thought of the internet , leave alone 5g,4g,3g. No mobile, minimal telephones - only for the few elites, also no wireless even for the armed forces. No television, no radio for masses, communication was leisure. In this era of 1971 when India's intelligence got info that Pakistan and China were planning to wage a war on India in the north-eastern front to cut off the 7 sister states from the mainland. The intelligence head calls a meeting with the minister and ministry of defense, and the army tells that they minimum need 2 months to get war ready in a 2 front war. But the Intel is that war can be waged on us very soon, may be in the next 15-20 days. One officer of the intelligence dept. Presents an out of the box idea, tough to implement but very effective, which can give time to Indian army to be war ready. And after a nod from ministry, the plan starts.

The lead Vidyut, as dev the Intel officer, has shown a new dimension of his caliber. Minimal action , no flaunt of male chauvinism but amazing acting. He has brewed to a very flavorful, versatile cast to any movie. Anupamji is an ever loved one. One actor who stood out of the most unknown actors is vishal jethwa. He has the confidence and control for the content. Full marks to sankalp reddy and Lee Whittaker for staying put to content and not going for any jingoism . Also, full marks for keeping things apt to the era of the movie.

It's a very smooth ,thoughtful movie but without any loud mouthing and chest thumping. Which may be we are not used to watching, but it tells the story as it happened and as should be told. Many moments in this movie will make u think , how come this is happening and are all the people foolish doing such things in Pakistan. But then we have to remember that this is era of 1971 where communication was luxury and general people could talk to others via standing in que for hours together for 5 mins of voice of the loved ones that too as some telephone exchange only to be found in metro cities. As someone who is in their 60s or 70s to know how tough was it. After a birth or death, the Info reached after most formalities had been completed.

Really, if u don't watch this movie, you will miss a super proud and fun movie. I wish more such stories are told and in such a beautiful manner.

I give this movie 10/10.

Direct and to the point
prasadkoli-8472525 July 2023
No unnecessary item song, romantic story or emotional family drama was added to waste time of viewers kept the movie very much to the point definitely suitable to watch with entire Family. Some comedy dialogues in between with thrill build-up were really good even though this was all inspired from real life incidents. It showed stealth of intelligence bureau agents and how witty and brave they were throughout their assignment...good movie to watch out for those who liked Runway34 and are fond of thriller. Lead character and the one who played role of Qasim I believe their market value is going to rise up because of this Movie!

Movie was extremely good but the over attitude and over music is totally unnecessary it reduced the seriousness of movie.
darshilmurmu18 August 2023
They are only Focusing on Dev and shows him as hero that is the fever of India, they don't know how to respect everyone. And the extra added music only for increase the adrenaline of children , remembering the history the Bangladesh was not introduced in the movie that is the core of history. The reason why the conflict happened should introduce first because everyone doesn't know the history, that is embarassing to say. The secret Agent or spy don't have a attitude or should not have the attitude.that's how Dev Played on movie. Rest of the movie was totally great and. And visual effects also great.

Interesting articulation
khanarshi-9647515 May 2023
IB71 is a must watch film with an interesting storyline. The cast is also really apt and everyone has performed upto the mark. Vidyut Jammwal has done a great job. The character of two hijackers Vishal Jhethwa and Faizan Khan is interesting as well as quite funny. Anupam Kher is awesome as always. The setting is perfect and movie flows quite well from beginning till end. This is Vidyut Jammwal's first film that has minimum action and we get to see him purely as a good actor. Though the dal lake action sequence has been put nicely. I believe they should release the song that plays during the end of the movie that may help the movie reach more people. Everyone should support Vidyut as he is a hardworking actor who has carve a niche for himself in the Bollywood industry.

An IB Thriller Without Intelligence & Brain
SAMTHEBESTEST14 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
IB71 (2023) : Movie Review -

IB71 marks Sankalp Reddy's return to Hindi cinema as well as Vidyut Jammwal's debut as a producer. Sankalp Reddy started his career on a promising note with "The Ghazi Attack" (nothing great though, but a good one), followed by a couple of mediocrities (including a short one), and then he decided to take on a challenging and difficult subject like IB71. The attempt is neither effective nor promising. It's hard to believe that a bunch of screenwriters sat together to explore a true event and failed to build a decent story, forget good. IB71 was a potential classic, but all it makes out on the big screen is a big, boring thriller and an uninteresting drama. Let's just thank God that it wasn't jingoistic since the 2023 audience is far superior in terms of choosing updated projects.

IB71 is based on the true story of India's mission to hijack a plane flying to Pakistan. Dev (Vidyut Jammwal) is an IB agent who enters the Pakistan Army's ghetto and comes with important secrets about Pakistan attempting a brutal attack on India, who are unaware of it. To make it happen, Pakistani planes have to travel to East Pakistan (today's Bangladesh), and the only bypass for them is Indian airspace. Dev discusses a plan with IB Chief N. S. Awasthi (Anupam Kher) and gets on his toes to plan everything according to his secret mission. The secret mission is not so secret here, though. Dev and his agents fly together, but their plane is hijacked by Kashmiri militant Qasim Qureshi (Vishal Jethwa) and his aide. All 30 Indians land in Pakistan, and then the Pakistan Army takes them into formal custody until further discussion. Will Dev and other Indians be able to get back to India safely? Will his mission be successful? Find answers in IB71.

Written by Aditya Shastri, IB71 could've been a realistic thriller-if wanted. Sankalp Reddy, Arjun Varma, E. Vasudeva Reddy, Arun Bhimavarapu, Gargee Singh, and Abhimanyu Srivastava's screenplay is a big letdown. What is a thriller without a good screenplay? Nothing. IB71 goes through multiple layers that don't fit in a basket. Neeraj Pandey's "Baby" (inspired by the Oscar-winning Argo) has set a landmark for such thrillers that is hard to match. Akshay's own "Airlift" couldn't make much out of it the way Malayalam flick "Take Off" (2017) did. Frankly, anything after Argo (a next generation successor to Carol Reed's 1940 thriller, Night Train to Munich) looks so mediocre. IB71 is way behind all these films, as the story lacks thrills, the screenplay lacks twists, and the drama lacks engaging elements. The structure of the narrative is too dull to hold your breath. The first half ends on a tepid note, leaving you with no interest in the second half as you already know the results.

What kind of thriller reveals the results before taking off? If you know the outcome already, what thrills can you feel while watching the film? IB71 simply misses the basic concepts of a thriller. They just had to make the Pak army and officers look dumb so that the audience would enjoy it, but seriously, it's just too mainstream and predictable. A Pakistani officer was intelligent enough to understand the weather over the telephone voice, but IB officers didn't pay attention to this loophole. The same officer would travel in a Jeep to catch the Indians, while the easiest way to stop them was to make a telephone call to the Ganda border. The protagonist will still remain calm and full of attitude even at gunpoint after a hijacking, and he will even give tips to a hijacker. The film is hurt by such silly screenwriting that looks too dated and blurry for 2023.

Vidyut Jammwal hardly has anything to offer as an actor or as an action star. Other times, you would enjoy his action and forget about his performance, but here you neither get any of them. Anupam Kher's role is so simple and easygoing that it doesn't look like the actor is even trying to make it look like acting. It's effortless, but nothing great. Vishal Jethwa speaks in a vernacular accent, but that's mandatory; as the character of a Kashmiri frontier, he had to look offensive and a little brainless, as the character demanded. His accent, too, sounds bad, but that's how "they" sound, right? Dalip Tahil is wasted with an unnoticeable role, Faizan Khan and Mir Sarwar are okay, and Hobby Dhaliwal and Suvrat Joshi carry on with their personas. The supporting cast, which consists of Niharica Raizada, Ashwath Bhatt, Danny Sura, Sahidur Rahaman, Pyarali Nayani, Rajat Roy, and Amit Anand Raut, has done a decent job.

IB71 has a theme song called "Vijayi Bhav" that suits the momentum, but it is somewhat jingoistic. The cinematography isn't anything to look out for, and the sound design is partially okay. What's more disappointing is the background score, which is neither well scored nor well used. It just plays whenever the director wants it, when it should have been whenever the situation wanted it. Thankfully, the production value is not cringeworthy. IB71 is mounted on a good scale, and the frames are far from what you would call a B-grade presentation. Sankalp Reddy had gold in his hand, but he was unaware of it and was dreaming of copper. He could have been a goldsmith, but he decided to become a blacksmith. All he could see was iron and metal, not gold or diamonds, while digging into the history of the 1971 war. His intelligence and brain couldn't realise what IB71 needed. As a whole, it's a thriller without thrills and a drama without a soul. I wish somebody else (someone like Neeraj Pandey or Meghna Gulzar) would have handled this subject, and we might have gotten a better picture to celebrate the unknown heroes and victory of the Indian defence system.

RATING - 4/10*

Thrilling spy movie
Anand_Mannu15 June 2023
Story in nut shell - In 1971, Pakistan plan to attack India allying with China via East Pakistan. This plan is deciphered by Indian Secret agencies. India make a plan to stop the air movement of Pakistan to east Pakistan via India - thereby weakening the attack power of Pakistan. This lead to India's supremacy in the following war. 'How they achieve this.? What happens for the secret agents?' is the story.

All the actors played their roles well.

The storyline, screenplay and action kept us nail biting. The director did justice to the story with a good background score. Learnt to know, this is based on the true event that gave a sense of pride.

Really worth watching a thrill packed spy story of 1971, released in recent time.

A Missed Opportunity in Cinematic Chaos
iknafilms10 July 2023
IB71 falls short of its potential due to lackluster writing, which fails to captivate viewers. The screenplay's shortcomings prevent it from reaching its full impact, resulting in a frustrating viewing experience. The first half, in particular, lacks direction and fails to engage audiences effectively. The film serves as a painful reminder of the consequences when lazy writing, uninspiring performances, and amateurish direction collide. Despite its intriguing premise, IB71 struggles to maintain consistency throughout, leaving audiences yearning for a swift conclusion to this cinematic disaster.

Warning: Spoilers
The film is well-made and suspenseful, with some great action sequences. Vidyut Jammwal is excellent as Dev Jammwal, and he brings a lot of physicality and charisma to the role. Anupam Kher is also very good as Dev's superior officer, and he provides some much-needed comic relief.

The film's only real flaw is its slow start. The first half of the film is a bit slow-paced and doesn't really get going until the second half. However, the second half is very exciting and suspenseful, and it makes up for the slow start.

Overall, IB 71 is a well-made and suspenseful spy thriller. It's not perfect, but it's a great film for fans of the genre. I would definitely recommend it.

A great edge of the seat espionage battle
dasdibyav14 May 2023
A great espionage thriller that cuts out on the regular bull-crap formula of useless subplots, its a tightly composed where the mission takes the centre stage and the characters become the tool to accomplish the objectives. Just how things trully are in the battlefield of intelligence services As always great attention to detail ,as expected from Sankalp Another great directorial venture for Sankalp after the Ghazi Attack Nicely choreographed cinematics and action set pieces.

Vidyut shows it again that he is an actor as much as a martial artist.

Kudos to the Action Hero Films Team A great production debut with this film.

Paisa Vasool with some pride and patriotism

IB 71 A review by Rajesh Puvvada

The film aims to instil some pride and attempts to lace that pride with a fair degree of patriotism too.

Set during 1971, the film draws inspiration based on true events that eventually led to the Indo-Pak war in 1971

An undercover agent discovers the war plans of Pakistan at time when India would need more time get ready for war. He comes with a strange and a brilliant idea to put a full stop to Pakistan's advances. To execute that idea he has to run an operation like clock work and was he able to really complete the operation? To get an answer you should watch the movie.

Film is engaging throughout. It's starts with many scattered pieces and gains pace with those pieces leaving you confused. I was lost for a few minutes and was trying to recap the scenes in my mind. Almost close the interval time the scattered puzzle comes together and the second half leaves one at the edge of the seat.

The clock work execution is challenged by a few hurdles, but the hero overpowers all of them. But that's the bit o felt it was like a comic book style. They could have made it it a little realistic in some parts.

The part I really liked was there were tin cans tied to a fast moving vehicle on a rickety road. There are no songs and unnecessary characters who try to fill up just a check in the box. You guessed it right, there was no heroine too. The movie closes 30 secs before 2 hours, and that I felt was no time lost!!

The art work and music adds well to the pace as the plot reveals itself. Do you get a sense of pride laced with patriotism in the end? Yes you do!!

So I am going with a 8/10. Can watch with family more than once if you have other good movie to watch this time of year!!

Audio makes this unwatchable
sanjai9 July 2023
The story seems interesting, but the constant background sound effects make this unwatchable. Even during dialog there is constant thumping sound effects. Totally unnecessary. A lot of Indian shows and movies have this problem. I don't understand what the director was thinking. I eventually turned this off. I Couldn't take it anymore.
