- In a retelling of the story of the Fantastic Four, begins when genius Reed Richards builds what he thinks is a teleportation device which he unveils at a science fair. And when it doesn't produce the results he said would happen, he's shun by everyone. But a visiting scientist, Franklin Storm thinks that Reed built the means to cross into another dimension. He offers Reed a scholarship so he goes to New York to work on it and he works with Storm's daughter Sue and his former student Victor Von Doom. Storm also brings in his son Johnny, a mechanic to help him. When Reed says it's done, Storm decides to send him, Sue, Johnny and Victor. Reed asks his best friend Ben Grimm to join him. When they get there, they're exposed to elements not native to their own, And when they return, they start to change or gain abilities.—rcs0411@yahoo.com
- The nerd teenager Reed Richards has been researching teleport since he was a kid, helped by his best friend Ben Grimm.. During a high-school scientific fair, he is invited by Dr. Franklin Storm to join his research team in his institute in New York. Reed teams up with Dr. Storm's son and daughter Johnny Storm and Susan "Sue" Storm and the outcast Victor Von Doom and they succeed to send a monkey to another dimension. Soon they learn that the institute has an agreement with NASA to send astronauts to the other universe. However they decide to go by themselves to be the first humans to reach the place. However there is an accident and they are all affected by the power in the planet. Further, they achieve super-powers, but Victor is left behind. What will happen to the researchers?—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Struggling to complete their ambitious project and perfect their untested teleportation device, the science genius, Reed Richards, and his best friend, Ben Grimm, finally get the chance to prove their worth at the local science fair. However, an ill-advised venture into the dangerous Planet Zero, along with the fellow scientist, Victor Van Doom, and their supporter Dr Franklin Storm's children, Sue, and Johnny, will pave the way for an unforeseen complication, and an unexpected mutation. Now, Richards turns into the rubber-like Mr Fantastic; Sue becomes the Invisible Girl; Johnny commands fire at will as the Human Torch, and Ben transforms into the Thing, a mountain of rocky muscles. Can this new team of untried super-heroes thwart the plans of an unstoppable megalomaniac who wants nothing less than the world?—Nick Riganas
- In 2007, a school going Reed Richards talks in his class about building a Quantum based human Teleporter. He argues that Supercpmputers can already transmit Quantum information and data through space and the time is not far away when they would be able to transport a complete human. He calls it the Biomatter Shuttle. Ben is in the same class as Reed and is inspired by his vision. Ben finds Reed rummaging through his family's salvage yard, trying to find a power converter. Ben joins Reed in his lab, and quickly establishes that he is the mechanics person. That night Reed operates his Teleporter and Teleports a toy car and gets back rocks from the same place that the car went.
It is 7 years later. Friends Reed Richards (Miles Teller) and Ben Grimm (Jamie Bell) have worked together on a prototype Teleporter since childhood, eventually attracting the attention of Professor Franklin Storm (Reg E. Cathey), director of the Baxter Foundation, a government-sponsored research institute for young prodigies. Baxter was attending the school science fair where Reed demonstrates his prototype. Baxter is super impressed as Reed has managed to create a Quantum field that is large and stable enough to bring back matter from the other dimension. Baxter says that Reed has cracked inter-dimensional travel. Baxter and his team found the same rocks that Reed got 7 years back, from the other dimension.
Baxter is under pressure from the board of the foundation to deliver real world applications from his scientific research projects. Baxter argues that Quantum Teleportation technology will give Earth access to unlimited resources from other planets and help save it.
Reed is recruited to join them and aid Storm's children, scientist Sue Storm (Kate Mara) and the somewhat reckless technician Johnny Storm (Michael B. Jordan), into completing a "Quantum Gate" designed by Franklin's wayward protege, Victor Von Doom (Toby Kebbell), who begrudgingly agrees to help due to his unrequited feelings for Sue. Victor had dropped out of the institute and had set fire to the data servers that contained his research, as he didn't agree with the goals of using another world's resources to save Earth. But when Reed cracked the design himself, Victor was forced to join back. Baxter believes that Reed and Victor are the key to completing the project.
Sue is on the project developing the environmental suits for the other dimension. Sue is very critical of Reed that his garage experiment basically ripped apart the fabric of space-time and if he had upped the power just by a little, it would have created a runaway reaction, causing a black hole that would have consumed Earth. Victor is against the project but wants to be the first to visit the new world when the machine is completed. Baxter asks the team to work together, and start with inorganic matter, then organic matter, before graduating to human Teleportation. Johnny is reluctant to join the team, but Baxter gives him no choice after Johnny wrecks his car, spinning out of control, during a drag race. He had built the car with his own 2 hands and claims that he can build anything. Victor is angry to see Sue and Reed bonding with each other.
The experiment is successful when the team sends a chimpanzee through the Quantum Teleporter and bring it back alive and unhurt. They also get video images of the new planet which is almost untouched. The facility's supervisor, Dr. Allen (Tim Blake Nelson), plans to send a group from NASA to venture into a parallel dimension known as "Planet Zero". Disappointed at being denied the chance to join the expedition, Reed, Johnny, and Victor along with Ben use the Quantum Gate to embark on an unsanctioned voyage to Planet Zero, which they learn is a world filled with otherworldly substances. Sue is not told about the voyage but detects the remote activation of the machine and heads to the lab. Victor attempts to touch the green lava like substance, causing the surface they are on to collapse and the ground to erupt. Reed, Johnny, and Ben return to their shuttle just as Sue brings them back to Earth. Victor is left behind after he falls into the collapsing landscape.
The machine explodes, altering Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben on a molecular-genetic level, affording them superhuman abilities beyond their control: Reed can stretch like rubber, Sue can become invisible and generate force fields of energy, Johnny can engulf his entire body in flames (as his chamber was on fire when it returned back from the portal) and fly, and Ben becomes bigger and develops a rock-like hide (as his chamber was open and was being bombarded by rocks when he returned) which gives him enhanced strength and durability. They are then placed in government custody and confinement to be studied and have their conditions and abilities tested. Blaming himself for the accident, Reed escapes from the facility and tries to find a cure for their changes.
One year later, Reed is now a fugitive and has built a suit that is able to adapt to his body's plasticity and help him control his ability. Hiding in Central America, he is eventually found by the United States military with Sue's help and captured by Ben, who has become a military asset along with Johnny and Sue. Johnny and Sue have been outfitted with specialized suits designed to help them stabilize and control their abilities.
Reed is brought to Area 57, where Dr. Allen (Tim Blake Nelson) conscripts him to open another portal to Planet Zero in exchange for giving Reed the necessary resources to find a cure. Arriving in Planet Zero, Dr. Allen's explorers find Victor, who has been fused to his spacesuit and can now control the elements, as well as having Telekinetic abilities, and bring him back to Earth.
Believing the human race needs to be destroyed so he can rebuild Planet Zero in his image, Victor kills scientists and soldiers in the base including Dr. Allen and Professor Storm and returns to Planet Zero using the Quantum Gate, with Ben, Johnny, Reed, and Sue in pursuit.
Now dubbing himself "Doom", Victor activates a portal on Planet Zero using a structure he made while in the realm, that begins consuming the landscape of the Earth. He is confronted by the four and, after a destructive battle, Ben punches Doom into the portal's energy beam, disintegrating him, while Johnny closes the portal.
Returning to Earth, the group is rewarded for their heroics by being given a new base of operations by the US military. They decide to use their powers to help people and adopt the mantle of the "Fantastic Four".
