Bolt Driver came bursting on to the scene with all of the swagger of a runaway freight train covered in cum. Originally conceived as "Blot Driver", the film centers on a the life of a newly minted gig worker who finds himself thrust into the seedy underbelly of Los Angels also know as Chi-town. Soon he learns that life and love are not all they are cracked up to be. With a little help from his friends, he blows the competition away in new and unusual ways. It's an important film.

A masterpiece

As much as Taxi Driver felt important to the 70s, Blot Driver captures the America of Right Now -- with it's isolation, alienation, violence, disruption, disconnection, and vapid soul-searching in an endless void driving in circles. This is a low-budget masterpiece and shows that you don't have to have money or a good camera to make something adventurous, interesting, and important.
