It looks like Fox is taking a wait-and-see approach to the Hollywood Writers strike.
The network on Monday picked up more series for the 2023-24 season but didn't announce a fall schedule.
CBS and NBC announced their fall plans last week, with ABC and The CW to follow this week, but it looks like Fox is holding off on confirming which shows will be airing in the year's final months.
This isn't much of a change from last year when Fox held off on a fall schedule until June.
Given the work stoppage due to the Wtiers Strike, there's a good chance many of the network's scripted shows won't be available for a fall bow.
As a result, the fall schedule will likely be governed by what happens in the coming weeks regarding the strike.
"Rather than announce a schedule today that we may not be able to meet, we're...

Per fast nationals, the two primetime winners earned a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demo. This was a steady return for Chicago Fire, but a bit of a slip for Survivor from the previous week. Survivor kicked off the evening for CBS, also down slightly in viewers from the preceding episode. Following behind for the network was Beyond The Edge, which couldn’t quite retain its lead-in boost and fell one tenth in the demo. CBS ended its Wednesday with a repeat of FBI.

Comedies and dramas traditionally make up a large portion of the broadcast TV landscape between September and May, but networks don’t deny the continuous draw of hit reality TV and competition shows. Each season, ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox, the so-called “Big 4” broadcasters, bring back old staples and add in new unscripted content in hopes of topping each other outside of their sitcoms and procedurals.
While there could always be slight adjustments to season-long averages by the end of the traditional broadcast season in a few weeks, Variety has gathered Nielsen’s “most current” data through May 8 to rank ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox’s highest and lowest-rated unscripted series among adults 18-49.

Rudy Giuliani’s long-awaited reveal on The Masked Singer finally aired on Fox. However, the controversial unmasking didn’t seem to pay off, with the singing series hitting season lows on Wednesday.
Per fast affiliates, the latest and most-anticipated episode of The Masked Singer earned a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demo and 3.59 million viewers. Giuliani’s unmasking now marks the least-watched episode of the season, dipping even further from the previous week’s 3.82 million audience. As Deadline revealed exclusively in February, Giuliani’s reveal on the popular Fox series prompted judge Ken Jeong to leave the stage in protest. Read more about Wednesday’s reveal here.
Despite the controversial moment, The Masked Singer struggled to come up with a primetime win on Wednesday. Instead it was Survivor and Chicago Fire that led the pack. The Masked Singer, however, did mark Fox’s top Wednesday program, as it typically does.

It was a decent night for The CW thanks to a surge in the ratings for a pair of freshly renewed dramas.
The Flash secured 722,000 total viewers and a 0.2 rating, showcasing growth in viewers of almost 30%.
Kung Fu soared 35% to 633,000 viewers and a 0.1 rating, posting a season high in viewers for the Olivia Ling-led drama.
The CW renewed both shows earlier this week, alongside five other shows.
Over on CBS, Good Sam's One Tree Hill reunion failed to move the needle much in the ratings.
The freshman drama managed just 2.1 million viewers and a 0.2 rating.
Survivor started the night off for CBS with 5.2 million viewers and a 0.8 rating, while week two of Beyond the Edge managed 2.9 million viewers and a 0.4 rating.
The retention from Survivor is not good, but a 0.4 is not that bad for a cheap reality series.

Well, this is awkward timing. Joe Buck was the latest celebrity to be revealed on Fox’s “The Masked Singer” — on the same day that Buck also announced that he was splitting from Fox Sports and moving to ESPN. Buck was revealed as the Ram, a clue in itself since obviously the Los Angeles Rams just won most important football game of them all, the Super Bowl.

“The Masked Singer” returns to Fox on Wednesday night as the remaining four singers from Group A hit the stage for their second performance in so many episodes, and Robin Thicke thinks he’s already figured out precisely which celeb is inside the Thingamabob costume.
In TheWrap’s exclusive sneak peek from Wednesday’s show, airing at 8 p.m. Et/Pt on Fox, Thicke is insistent that the clues reveal the person in the suit to be “Aquaman” star Jason Momoa, but you’ll have to watch the clip for his explanation about how the clues really seem to add up.
“The Masked Singer” is hosted by Nick Cannon and features celeb panelists Thicke, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg and Nicole Scherzinger. This week’s episode will also see “Domino Masters” host Eric Stonestreet join the panel to get in on the guessing game. (“Domino Masters” airs after “The Masked Singer” at 9:01 p.
