Lucy Liu (Strange World, Shazam! Fury of the Gods) and Cooper Hoffman (Licorice Pizza) have joined two-time Oscar winner Christoph Waltz (No Time to Die, Big Eyes, Inglourious Basterds) in Old Guy, the upcoming action comedy from Simon West (The Expendables 2, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider).
West directs and produces the feature, which was written by Greg Johnson (The Son) and recently wrapped in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where it was filmed on location, with support from Northern Ireland Screen. Highland Film Group is co-financing the action comedy and handling worldwide rights.
Old Guy follows aging contract killer Danny Dolinski (Waltz), who still believes he’s the best at what he does. Stuck at a dead end but vying for the love of club manager Anata (Liu), Danny is thrilled when The Company pulls him back into the field, but only to train Gen Z newcomer Wihlborg (Hoffman), a prodigy assassin with an attitude.

On the heels of his induction into the UFC Hall of Fame, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone has signed with Alchemy Entertainment for film and TV representation.
Cerrone’s upcoming film Mojave Diamonds will be released May 30 through Lionsgate. He recently wrapped Firebrand’s Lights Out opposite Frank Grillo and Dermot Mulroney, as well as Latigo Films’ Place of Bones alongside Tom Hopper and Heather Graham.
Other credits include Terror On the Prairie alongside Gina Carano and Spenser Confidential alongside Mark Wahlberg.
Known for being tied for the second-most wins in UFC history, Cerrone retired from the ring in July 2022. During his post-fight interview, he announced was setting his sights on Hollywood. Since then, he has booked an impressive slate of roles.
He is also represented at the Gersh Agency.

Production has wrapped in Los Angeles on the 1876-set tale about a ranch owner who must protect her daughter and their home from a vicious outlaw who comes looking for a treacherous accomplice following a botched robbery.
Richard Taylor wrote the screenplay and the cast includes Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and Corin Nemec. Eric Gozlan is producing through his Goldrush Entertainment alongside David Lipper and Robert A. Daly Jr via Latigo Films.

Karen Gillan, Marton Csokas, Harry Greenwood and Thomas M Wright join the cast of book-to-film crime drama film “Sleeping Dogs,” which shoots in Australia from next month. They join the previously announced Russell Crowe in the cast.
The film is a book-to-film adaptation of E.O. Chirovici’s critically acclaimed novel, “The Book of Mirrors,” with a screenplay by Adam Cooper and Bill Collage. The film also marks Cooper’s feature directorial debut.
In the wake of a cutting-edge Alzheimer’s treatment, Crowe’s character, a former homicide detective, is tasked with re-examining a brutal murder case from his past – the grisly murder of a college professor (Csokas). Fighting to regain his memory, the detective enlists his former partner to help him revive the investigation. They encounter a magnetic and mysterious woman (Gillan), a tangle of contradictions and secrets and a horrific reality that changes the detective’s world view in the blink of an eye.
