The show is plagued by numerous plot holes and contrivances, such as Dowling's return and the misuse of Bloom's Dragon Fire powers. The absence of Rosalind and the casual walking of Dowling and Bloom through the school without any guards adds to the overall experience. The characters are poorly defined, and the "chosen one" plot is overdone and cliched. The finale promises decent action, but it remains to be seen if the show can effectively deliver it. The show's overall quality is compared to the first season, which was not particularly good. In Episode 6 of Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2, Silva briefs the kids to keep Bloom under control. Queen Luna, using restraining bracelets, reveals Rosalind's death and Blood Witches as the cause. Terra and Flora visit the graveyard, where they encounter specialist Kat, who is now with her girlfriend. Grey, who is with the Blood Witch, is revealed to be with Aisha and has a lie about his ties to Aisha. They discuss the plan to strike the fairies together. Bloom is facing a tribunal hearing and is hesitant to leave due to fear of losing control and hurting Sky. Queen Luna questions her about Dowling's death, and Stella serves as her advocate. Terra and Flora search the graveyard for evidence, but find a mysterious magical item. Luna reveals Grey's records have been forged, and she is in collusion with Sebastian. Aisha leaves, and Bloom takes responsibility for her actions. Queen Luna plans to put Bloom in stasis for 20 years, allowing her to be re-evaluated in the future. However, Luna takes off the magic gem on Stella's back and allows her powers back. Flora discovers the nest-like trinket in the graveyard and frees Bloom from her stasis before revealing it. The resurrection plant, fed by fairies, opens up and reveals Dowling's spirit. Dowling, aware of Rosalind's intentions, calls on the natural world to preserve her essence. She owes them "one last goodbye" and teaches them about transformation magic. Bloom and Dowling decide to walk, but Bavani discovers Bloom's disappearance and searches through the hallways. They walk through the academy, where they sit on a bench. The other fairies say goodbye before Dowling disappears again. Specialists enter Sebastian's compound to stop Blood Witches, but the place is empty. Silva discovers Sebastian and his gang are inside, and Beatrix is the mole. She allows him in, cutting the lights, and scrapers swarm into the basement.
