- Unaware that he is being followed by the Elite Guard, Wasp heads to Earth to take his revenge on Bumblebee.
- Sentinel Prime, along with members of the Autobot Elite Guard, followed the escaped prisoner Wasp to Earth, much to Longarm's distress. Longarm ordered Sentinel Prime and his crew to return to Cybertron. Longarm knew that Optimus Prime's crew on Earth was aware that he was really the Decepticon spy, Shockwave. He re-iterated to Sentinel Prime that all communication with Optimus' crew were to go through Longarm alone, for security reasons. Sentinel balked at his order as Longarm was the one who ordered the capture of Wasp. Ultra Magnus joined the communication and stated that they didn't contact him about it, because they didn't want to tip off the fugitive. They expected Wasp, who Longarm had set up to to look like a Decepticon spy, to seek out the Decepticons on Earth. Instead, Jazz pointed out, Wasp was heading for Optimus Prime's headquarters.
At the Autobot Factory Base, Optimus scolded Bumblebee for playing video games when he should be on monitor duty. The computer detected a Cybertronian signal, so Optimus ordered Bumblebee to stay and continue his monitor duty, while the others went to investigate. After Bumblebee was alone, Wasp stalked him in the dark factory, immobilized Bumblebee. Wasp then (as they were of a very similar body design) switched paint jobs, voices and helmets, effectively switching places with Bumblebee.
Bumblebee woke up to find that he now looked like Wasp, and that Optimus and the rest of his crew had fallen for the impostor's trick. They wouldn't believe him as he protested that he was really Bumblebee, so Bumblebee was forced to flee from his friends.
Sentinel and Jazz arrived just after Bumblebee escaped. Optimus tried to inform them that Wasp was framed by Longarm/Shockwave, but the Elite Guard Commander wouldn't listen to him. Both crews left in search of Bumblebee, leaving Wasp alone at the Autobot base (where he finds out that he is lousy at video games).
Back on Cybertron, Shockwave desperately tried to contact Megatron. He sent out a message, telling the Decepticon leader that he was soon to be discovered, and was taking matters into his own hands.
In Detroit, Bumblebee is confronted by the new flying Autobots, Jetfire and Jetstorm, who he, Ratchet and Optimus mistook for Decepticons (as previously, only Decepticons could fly). Bumblebee got away again, while Jetstorm & Jetfire battled Optimus and Ratchet. Sentinel Prime and Jazz arrived and broke up the fight, just as the two flyers began to attack in their combined Safeguard mode. Sentinel cleared up the confusion by telling Optimus that they twins had been upgraded by using specs taken during Starscream's previous incarceration.
Bumblebee, while trying to fix his paint job mustard from a Hot Dog Vendor-Bot, was cornered by Prowl and Bulkhead. Bumblebee diverted their attack by telling Bulkhead about the time that Bumblebee took the blame for a mistake Bulkhead made in boot camp. Only Bumblebee would have known that, so Bulkhead and Prowl cease their hostilities.
Unfortunately, Jetfire and Jetstorm saw Bulkhead and Prowl acting friendly towards "Wasp", and decided that they must be Decepticon double-agents as well. Optimus stated that they can't be double-agents, because Wasp isn't even a double-agent. They took Bumblebee back to the Autobot base to confront Wasp and let them prove who was the real Bumblebee.
Wasp was prepared for this because he had downloaded the Autobots' personal files, leading to an interrogation stalemate. Bulkhead proposed that they solve it with a game of "Ninja Gladiator", since Bumblebee was the best player, and the loser would be the impostor.
Wasp panicked, took Bumblebee hostage and fled the base. The Autobots find Bumblebee outside, with his yellow paint job restored. The Elite Guard finally realized that Optimus was telling the truth about Longarm being the spy and reported it to Cybertron.
Back on Cybertron, Ironhide searched the Autobot Council Chambers for Longarm, but instead found the Autobot leader, Ultra Magnus shattered on the floor. When he asked Magnus who did this to him, he could only reply "Shock...wave", before he went offline.
End.
